    Needed "Scare Factor"

That's an epic video and I completely agree, some kind of night time creature deep within the woods would be cool. Having animals that could mess you up as well when hunting would also be a nice touch. It would be cool if Rocket did a monthly update changing the creature. I could see people teaming up in the middle of the night when it's pitch black and trying to hunt this thing down. And it would be cool if Rocket constantly changes this beastly thing bc you don't know what you're walking into if you're trying to encounter it. Or if you randomly encounter it while trying to stay away from it. :P I wouldn't even have it be any type or quest nor do I think there should be any type of loot. Just for the fun of going in the middle of the woods and hunting down this creature you've never seen. You don't even know exactly what you're looking for, Maybe as an incentive, if they do a "safe house/hold out/bunker" type thing that you can build, maybe you can take the creatures head as a trophy lol

    Dead players turning to zombies

Maybe you could play around with the whole "immune thing" to limit the number of zombies on servers. As stated above by Nasuko, there is only a chance of a player's body becomes reanimated. Basically the way this would be calculated is by calculating the current number of zombies within the server. And I agree with not being able to control zombies which is why I said it in my OP, players should not be able to control zombies. It wouldn't be realistic and you would be taking away from the main point of the game which is post apocalyptic zombie survival. Dying should not be fun or rewarding in any way. If you want that I suggest playing Left 4 dead as mentioned, great multiplayer game.

    Dead players turning to zombies

Zombies have been portrayed in multiple ways which is why I think it would be up to the devs which route they'd want to take it. Look at the walking dead for an example, everyone in that show is infected and once you die, you'll become a zombie. The disease makes a certain part of your brain reanimate after death along with your nervous system which only makes you have a mindless need to feed on flesh and nothing more. Nothing else is needed for a zombie to live, not even the heart which is why a zombies' bodies rot. The only way to truly kill someone is a shot to the head. However I know what you're saying if the devs decide to go with a 28 days later/I am legend type "zombie". As they are not undead but sick/infected. These type zombies would not feed on flesh, are not undead, and could die by conventional means. So in that aspect you would be right and my idea wouldn't work. But again, I don't know what route Rocket is taking. He has been pretty limited with his ideas with trying to work around the ARMA II game. However with the stand alone on the horizon, now is the time he can get creative.

    Dead players turning to zombies

    Interesting, how so?
  5. Not really going to add anything to game play but if Rocket gave the ability to customize your player in the game, it would be cool if your character became a zombie in that server if/when you die. I don't mean that the player would become a zombie but so that your player now roams the server as an A.I. controlled zombie.Would kind of be cool to come across one of your old characters in the game as a zombie. That would add to the realism. I posted this in my own thread but feel it was well fitting for this one as well. If it's an airborne type infection, yes every dead body would reanimate. If not, maybe just those killed by zombie attacks. That would be up to the dev's I guess. -It can also be added to help minimize people retrieving their weapons (not realistic to get your items back). The body can have a certain amount of time before it reanimates as a zombie. -As mentioned in the OP about finding a way to spawn zombies realistically, this may work. It would give a realistic way of having zombies spawn.

    Dead players turning to zombies

I would like to see it in the stand alone. Like mentioned above it can be used in various ways to help certain problems many complain about. I like the reanimation within a certain amount of time. If it's an airborne type infection, yes every dead body would reanimate. If not, maybe just those killed by zombie attacks. That would be up to the dev's I guess. Whether it's just added for realism ( this would really happen in a real zombie apocalypse ) or it's added to help minimize people retrieving their weapons (not realistic to get your items back) and adding confusion with pvp as mentioned above, it seems like it would be a cool feature that would fit the game.

    DayZ Standalone Confirmed

The reason it's so glitchy is because it is a MOD to a game that can not be tampered with. An elaborate mod at that and Rocket is not allowed to mess with the game's source codes. That makes molding this game to a zombie survival game extremely difficult. Like eating soup with a fork difficult. With the standalone he can take the new engine and tweak it where he sees fit. He will be creating a game from ground up. It will be much easier to develop a game and implement features with this type of freedom. So I wouldn't go talking about the developer's ability to make a game.

    DayZ Standalone Confirmed

No chance it will be released on console and glad it won't. Games always have to get dumbed down when put on consoles. Not to mention I don't think a console could handle a game of this magnitude. Your ps3/xbox would bleed out trying to run it.

    DayZ Standalone Confirmed

Great news, can't wait. Hope the game stays true to it's roots. I would gladly pre order this game now if it helped along development.
