    M107 is really not all that good. Sure, it's fun to kill people in a single shot no matter where you hit, but the fact that it a) makes a lot of noise b) has a lot of recoil makes it not worth it. The recoil is a huge deal: you can't immediately see if your shot hit or not and you can't immediately shoot at the same target again like with some lesser recoil rifles.

    Then play better. It's no way to team up to run to some people in high-stress situations. Or if you don't want to team up and just want gear to get out of the coast, yet still can't manage that? Well...

    You obviously don't know what you're doing. That is not how you survive. That isn't how you team up, either.
  6. After running 1 hour and 50 minutes south-east, I arrived to Kamenka. And at 2900 blood, I found a can of Pepsi and my life was saved. That must've been my character's sweetest drink ever.

It's got nothing to do with life expectancy, it's the type of game it has become since this change. You've also missed the point that life expectancy for beginners has increased as they know how to handle zombies better. Don't forget they have as much, if not more effect over life expectancy than bandits. There are almost 0 players now that are interested in team play, including myself, which is a huge disappointment to have to change play style like that. There needs to be a balance so people can have the best of what this was originally about, both teamplay and pvp. Of course it has everything to do with life expectancy. If the game had become one where no one wants to work together and people shoot on sight instead, we'd see a dramatic drop in life expectancy because people would be shooting other people a lot more.

  12. Average life expectancy now without bandit skin: 30 minutes. Average life expectancy just before bandit skin removal was 26-28 minutes. I think that alone proves not much changed.

    I think two primaries is best. I use M14 AIM/DMR + M9SD myself. While M14 is awesome and can be used at range, I find the DMR to be nice for 350-800 meter kills.

  15. I don't think the 15 mins despawn is working? I swear I've seen bodies persist much, much longer.
  16. Yes, they're the limitations of the ArmA 2 engine. That doesn't make them any less limiting and getting used to them doesn't mean they're not there. Long range shooting is easier in ArmA 2, but close/medium ranged shots are easier IRL, if we're not talking about just standing still and shooting in ArmA 2.

    Exactly, it's not like people get ambushed every second 24/7, bugs and stuff like that happens way, way more often. But we don't know just how it's gonna work, so gonna hope for the best.
  20. Most people seem to come from the angle of giving ridiculously harsh punishments for bandits. I don't think that's what rocket wants. You should instead encourage teamplay. It'll also buff bandits who teamplay, but it'll make solo survivors want to try and team up with other survivors. Honestly, I think DayZ already does that pretty well. It's much, much safer to be with other people than it is to be alone.
