Yes, the mod has stalled because the dev team is working on the SA. As far as I know the community is now working on updating the mod. There should be an update very soon according to the last dev blog.

I actually haven't played Dayz for a few months now but I can't wait for the standalone! I stopped playing cause I wanted the standalone to be as new and fresh as possible. So I'll just be waiting impatiently the night before :D

Get the SA when it comes out. The most recent development blog stated players will be able to put different shoes, shirts, pants, and headgear.

I was actually globally banned back when I was playing Dayz. I never hacked or scripted. I appealed it to BattlEye and I was unbanned. So just letting you all know false positives do happen! B) And I'm not playing Dayz anymore only cause I want the standalone to be as fresh as possible.

My first and only kill to date was at devils castle. I was heading out and noticed zombies were already spread out and roaming around, and just as I noticed that I saw a guy probing to my right and I saw a weapon. I unloaded into him without hesitation. He started saying something over chat as finished firing and I felt really bad for a while cause I don't think he was going to shoot. But it actually made me pretty nervous and I was shaking a bit lol! Never had a game do that to me before which is why I love dayz!

I think it'd be pretty awesome if instead of creating a bunch of different 'single' maps, as the dev team said they are going to. Create one large map, with all the different single maps in it. You have to travel to them via boat, helicopter, car, etc... Boats are pretty useless as the game is, but say you fixed up a boat, you could now travel to a new island or landmass. Or you have a helicopter and you fly way north, east, or west and you find new cities and towns and terrains and climates. Obviously having transitional terrains and climates between the new areas and things like that.

For real? Just curious where you heard? I've read about what he wants to do but I never saw that.

It's not Minecraft... If you travel in real life in a certain direction the climate and terrain and weather all change according to how the earth is tilted and wind patterns and how close/far it is from the equator. I'm talking about realistic changes to the terrain and climate as you travel, high mountains? Well there's snow on the top of those which you would need very warm clothing to traverse. (Which they want to implement clothing in some form down the road) They want to add construction as well. Would you not want that just cause "This is not minecraft thx"? I mean if they have the capability of putting flowing rivers into the maps, how cool would it be to follow that river through the map (into another 'map') and find something similar to a Grand Canyon, or some other amazing landscape? Or find large cities (along the lines of Atlanta, (Walking Dead?)) with massive amounts of zombies. Or find tropical areas like the already existing Lingor Island via a boat?

Just thought I'd post a thank you to Battleye for unbanning me! Was one of the innocent people who got banned.

Seems I've been unbanned thankfully!!! No email just tried to join a server and it worked! Left that one and joined another and it joined! Seems to be ok. Thank you Battleye!

I'm going to keep emailing them.... Seems to be the only thing we can do.

Hello, I've been playing Dayz for about a week or so now, and I was playing today and I had just finished putting a tent up and I started away to my next destination and a message popped up that I was kicked from the game with a Battleye global ban. I read all the stickies and everything and I am not appealing my ban here. I have sent an email to Battleye and am awaiting a reply. I have never hacked the game on any occasion for any reason... I absolutley hate when other people do that as it ruins the game for everyone else. I'm just posting this so that other people who have been banned, when they are innocent, know that they aren't the only ones! I hope Battleye and Dayz developers come up with a fix for this cause now my multiplayer for the base games are gone as well. I'm hoping to at least see an acknowledgement from either or of the issue though.

Did you not read any of the posts that have been in these forums lately? There has been a ton of innoncent people being banned on Dayz by Battleye.... We're just trying to get things straightned out that is all.

Yeah I never got a notice or anything. I think someone was spoofing my GUID, and I'm not sure if battleye can know that or not. The only way it can be reversed is if Battleye reverses it, which I'm not sure how often that happens....

Got banned as well for no reason... Just running and it popped up that I was globally banned. Hoping to hear back from Battleye soon.

No idea but I was banned today for no reason. If you can't even open Arma 2 then something else is wrong.

The two players could just have been the same person coming back to loot their dead body, I've done that before.

I was running the version before 95777 and I got banned... Updated and then got into another server somehow (Battleye protected server). I popped a tent up and moved an M16A2 that I found at a firestation into the tent and then back out of, ran a little ways and got banned. I was running 95777 the second time when I got the message and I can no longer join any server. Been trying to since around 3pm EST. I doubt people will believe me but I never used a hack or a script of any kind. I'm also awaiting an email from Battleye.... I have not heard of anyone else getting unbanned or even an email back.

Yeah essentially. I don't think Battleye took that into account or they may not care. If they don't respond I'd say they don't care lol

I've been banned for no reason as well... sent an email to battleye although not too hopeful. I've submitted a tip to Gameinformer hoping some publicity to the large number of innoncent people being banned will help it get fixed. I'm under the assumption someone was spoofing my ID and hacking with that. I'm hoping this gets fixed pretty soon.
