I think a server without zombies would be good for players to get to grips with the other aspects of the game and for a more realistic apocalypse

If a building is barb wired of except one door and searched the zombies should not respawn inside unless the building is temporarily empty same goes for sealed off citys

Weapon matinance would be good but the task of it would be gruelling

Goodies like Kevlar vests and ammo and more advanced food supply's could be prizes just in a few places and on a few servers -
You should start the game with a pocket knife that's a weapon and a tool to craft spears and stuff

The longer you have survived the longer it take to respawn (1day = 5seconds and a couple of months = a day or 2) -

The global map is possible but most of it would be coppy and paste style like deserts and areas that don't change much

You should get gear when you respawn (pistol,ammo,canteen and food) then the longer you have survived on the game for your longest atempt the better your pistol and amount of ammo you have. To a choice of upgrading your gun or ammo supply's. -
Panniers of 12-15 slots that can hold and extra primary and secondary and so on would be good or bikes with varying space to store stuff

Hostile animals and more friendly animals to eat and dogs and kill able birds

What type of gun is a MK 48?

Strength in numbers stick together and only kill bandits and in self defence

If every one worked together in the game the supply's would be rationed and food hunted but the life expectancy would go up drastically

Dogs can detect zombies and people,carry extra supply's and help hunt or attack enemy's but you would have to feed them and bandage them when injured
