    Actually you have to decide what role you are going to play ? Scoutsniper or Close Combat ?

    entirely right.... steam has over 30 million members, and the average playercount is about 3 to 4 million players. that is 10 to 15% of all players (don't forget, many people have steam in autostart and idle online without playing, but count into that value)

    But the SixLauncher and other serverbrowser have to request the serverlist and details from the hive, or am I wrong ? Maybe SixLauncher etc have the exclusive access data for those requests ?

    Hello, in my summer vacation I wanted to code a server browser with player search. My question is, how i can request data and game details from the hive or the server ? The Ingame ARMA browser is able to request playernames and versionnumbers of beta patches, battle eye etc. Is there any API or protocoll which I can use for this ? Greetings Danny
