http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Promegapoietin BAM! an actual way to regenerate blood!
-
Reposting this because the last thread was merged with another thread that had nothing to do with this, and made the entire thread make no sense. How about instead of the magazine disappearing, you just get an empty magazine, and you can find ammo, not magazines, and fill the magazines? You wouldn't need an animation for it really, just stopping for a second and crouching down or some such. The ammo would come in ammo boxes, and would have a number set to them. So you might find a box with 50 bullets that are .45 caliber, or you might find a box with 1 bullet that is .22 caliber. Also, you would be able to empty mags into the ammo box, so if you find a body, and want the ammo, but not the weight of all the magazines, you can take the bullets instead. This would take just as much time as loading a magazine. Edit This is the item I'm talking about

This idea is shit. Sorry, it just is. However, I have a good way to do something similair. You get books, you find them in grocery stores, houses, hunting towers, etc. And the books you find are related to the area. Ex. I go to a military barracks, inside there are books that tell you how to fly a helicopter. I then use the knowledge in this book to fly a helicopter. There are no stats, just realistic sources of information.

Why are there so many fucking duplicate threads? THIS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, ROCKET WOULD HAVE TO MAKE A NEW INTERIOR FOR EVERY BUILDING AND IT WOULD TAKE TOO LONG!

Fighting zombies without guns (Sort of a melee thread, but different from others)
TheCoolestCat posted a topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
[TL;DR] Push/kick zombies so they stumble or just stop for a second. Read this first I want to apologize in advance. I am on new medicine for my ADD(ADHD?) so my post not be completely articulate, as I was putting almost every thought that entered my brain on the page. In DayZ, you run out of ammo quickly, and get your ass kicked by zombies because of it. This makes sense, because zombies are fast mother fuckers, and you don't have a weapon. People that talk about melee typically just ask for knives to be weapons. That's a good idea, but it also would need alot more scripting and new animations. It isn't really that feasible for such a small part of the game, maybe if DayZ goes to Arma3 and is past the testing stages, but for now, not a good plan. My suggestion is that we can push, punch[?], or kick zombies. I put a question mark around the punch because it would also need new animations. But pushing and kicking wouldn't need new animations. You could just press a button, and the zombie gets pushed a little, or stumbles, and there are already scripts for that. You don't need to see your arm pushing them or kicking them, because not being able to see your arm isn't too unrealistic, you wouldn't be moving your limbs that far from your body. Thoughts? -
Diabetes takes a long ass time to develop. By the time a character is actually able to get it because of their sugar consumption, this game will be obsolete.

What the fuck? No.

Read the fucking rules! They aren't that hard to follow. And Rocket isn't going to give people benefits because of how they play.

Use the search feature -
I think it should be more like 900 an hour, but whatever works.
-
Also would be cool if you could use different kinds of bullets for the same gun.

Please use the search feature before posting a new thread.

Bugs are going to be fixed. This is an alpha. This is an alpha. This is an alpha. This is an alpha. Bug fixes don't go here.

Kidnapping/ Slave Trafficking/ Cannibalism?
TheCoolestCat replied to dalgcais's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I think restraining people should definitely be implemented, maybe zombies too? That way you can catch zombies, then feed other players to them :D -
Why would you just throw a magazine away, when you can refill it later?
-
.25 units/s is 900 units per hour.

Bandits, balanced melee and costumes

The rules aren't suggestions. If it says not to make duplicate threads, it doesn't mean make one thread that duplicates three other threads, it means don't duplicate threads. -
How do you figure you would never run out? Ammo could be just as rare as it is now, just found in different containers.
-
I didn't imply anything about beans? This game is supposed to be realistic, thus why it is called an anti-game.
-
Well donating blood, and getting shot and losing most of your blood, are completely different. I just think the medicine should make blood regenerate at like 0.25 units/s
-
I don't think it would require much more coding than anything else in the game...I could be wrong though. All you're doing is exchanging bullets between the ammo box and the magazine, and the animation would just be bending over slightly, or something, and stopping for like 15-30 seconds for each magazine.
-
I still think it takes way more than four hours to regenerate all of your blood, but hey, you're the doktor.
