    given zombies are faster than you, i think if you don't have a weapon and one sees you, short of there being some immediate cover nearby to hide in you should just be fucked. Try and think about it in terms of the 28 days later movie. What happens when one of the infected see you? You either kill them, or you die. The find a building thing is lame in itself because zombies slow to a walk, which is an engine limitation with breaks the whole thing even more. In an ideal world 80% of zombie encounters should result in your death unless you are far enough away to shoot them all before they reach you. As soon as one gets within spitting distance you should be fucked, as in reality it would pounce on you and start ripping you to shreds in seconds. EDIT: replace all instances of zombies with infected, keep forgetting!

    1.7.1 and some of the community

    We troll when people don't take the time to construct their posts maturely, or when they post about an issue that has already been brought up 100 times in the past hour that is a KNOWN ISSUE, and yet they didn't take the time to briefly browse the forums and note that their complaint is extremely common, and instead fill the forum with another useless, unconstructive post. I believe all this trolling happens because the moderators aren't harsh enough. If every thread that was poorly made or a repeat thread were instantly closed, people would take a lot more time thinking before they posted and this forum would be a better place.

    the fix for this is not being able to outrun zombies, i.e. when they catch up to you they shouldn't stop and miss their attack allowing you to get away again. Hopefully when all the new mocaped animations are implemented this issue will be fixed

    Everyone else who wants to make a thread complaining about 1.7.1, this is how you do it. Notice the descriptive title, anecdotal examples of the problem and lack of inflammatory phrases (like "1.7.1 is gay")? Notice how noone as a result is trolling the OP?
  7. I actually think this would be an excellent idea for one reason: Players cant run back to their corpse to loot it because it has reanimated and wandered off XD

    how about you don't post suggestions until you have actually played 1.7.1? Your opinion is invalid until you can provide an ingame experience demonstrating the problem. Most people have noticed an increase in teamwork, so we don't care what you *think* will happen. It's threads like these that confuscate the forums and make it harder to get useful feedback to the devs.

    the lighting problem isn't a DayZ issue, it is to do with the beta patches. And if you go into coastal towns looking for a loot you deserve to die. Play smart. As soon as you spawn head inland, and loot those towns.

    well at low blood you may just have to get a transfusion. If you like there could be no default regen at all, i.e. only regen after eating food. Basically anything rather than getting instant blood back from eating some beans :P

    Not if eating increases the rate of regen for a period of time. The default regen amount would be very slow and only occur if all indicaters are green.

    agree. People need to chill with their rage for a few days until they get used to the new difficulty and start playing less retarded. The only issue with the patch that does cause validated rage is the broken infected respawn issue.

    insta spawning is a bug that will be hotfixed. wrt zombie sight enhancement i personally love it. I hated being able to crouch run in front of infected staring straight at me from 10m away and not being noticed. You can still avoid the infected, just have to make sure they are not looking your way. Being able to get any loot you wanted without firing a single bullet made the game ridonk easy. These are infected, they are essentially extremely angry humans, not decaying senseless zombies. If you can see an infected, then if it looks in your direction it should be able to see you too.

    increasing blood regeneration is the ideal middle ground here. I think everyone agrees that eating a steak wont magically give you instant blood, but it will provide your body with the necessary raw ingredients to produce more blood over a period of time.

    dw guys i have the solution to make everyone happy. ProphetMatt just share your GUID and rocket will implement a fix so that whenever you spawn, you die! And the rest of us can keep on playing the game!

    rocket has already stated this isn't to do with DayZ, it is to do with the recent A2 beta patches, which are still being optimised. Have patience and stop blaming DayZ.     pre 1.7.1 everyone was whining about easy it was to survive, so now rocket improved the zombies and people are going to whine about how hard it is? This is EXACTLY what we asked for, and the majority of us are LOVING it. So how about YOU get a fucking grip.

    Possibility of zombies spawning from gunshots?

    you do realise that zombies only spawn in towns when players are near that town right? Gee what a needless and fake mechanic! The only reason zombies dont spawn in other areas is because there is nothing to tie them to, i.e. you cant have a zombie spawn for each tree. This idea will make it seem as though there are zombies roaming the map, that aren't restricted to towns, meaning, like in a real zombie apocalypse, you can never be sure that noone else will hear you fire your weapon. The idea that infected would stay put and only be around buildings is more ridiculous imo.
