This server is running an incorrect version of the server side application.
Yatta (DayZ) replied to Vipeax's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
Goddamnit. The server my group was on crashed, and now every server all 3 of us try to join results in this error. We had no issue before the server crash. -
To those banned recently: did you set your launch param to -cpucount=4?
Yatta (DayZ) posted a topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
On the other topic, some people were discussing the setup they were using when they were banned. If you take a look at them, there's a similarity: -cpucount=4. As a result, if you were banned in the mass banning which took place recently, if possible, could you report if you were using a version after 95660, your approximate ingame location at the time of the ban (to prove or dispel the rumor that you're banned under certain situations if you go to the NW Airfield), and most importantly, if you were running with -cpucount=4. Maybe for good measure, toss in some system specs. You can hit winkey + R, then enter dxdiag to view your system specs. For ease, you can use this form to answer these questions: Version number : Approx. ingame location : -cpuCount=4 : Additional info: ------------------------------------------------- Now, for my own ban... Version number : 95777 Approx. ingame location : Not a clue -cpuCount=4 : Yes Additional info: i7-870 core, win7 x64, ATI HD 5770 -
This is fantastic news! :) Now I can stop being the asshole I'm normally not. Thank you, Bastian! Now to reset my game version and update to 415! Bastian can have my IRL beans. :beans:

If the denizens of the various threads I've read are correct, then yes. Seems there's a script to DL the server.cfg out there. With the server.cfg, you can find the server pass, and with that, see people's GUIDs. From there, all you need to do is spoof the person's GUID.

That definitely is true :/

If it really is a one man operation, he's got way too much going on... He'd have to handle coding up improvements, testing them, handling unbans, managing his site, deal with PR issues, oh my god this guy must be swamped with work... Why doesn't he expand? This is too much for any one person! All of this could have been avoidable... :(
-
Just a one man operation? I feel sorry for Bastian right now :( This explains A LOT...

Hopping in and out of the game trying to get my CFGs working as well as installing new drivers for my video card. Also lots of tweaking of ingame settings. When it says "Receiving...", does that mean it's relogging into the server? Or is connectivity not affected when it says that? Good luck!

But of course, Grunt was a scummy hacker, just like everybody else here. <_<

How much of a problem is server hopping? In most games, server hopping isn't a big deal. Why is it so bad here? edit: Oops, double post. Sorry :/ If a mod sees this, can I get a post merge?

Banned 27 hours ago. Still banned as of 1 minute ago.

Why not tempban for like, 5 minutes if someone's rapid logging -_- Perma's a bit overkill, huh? Edit: D3nty, neither did I. But I don't pay attention to the chat in most games.

Welcome back, playZ!
-
Actually, psyl3nt, that's possible. When I was banned, I kept hopping in and out of the game to adjust graphics settings. Sounds very viable.
-
Thanks, Psylent. Maybe someone was running scripts through us or something. Maybe if you have version 95660 or later, you become vulnerable to something hacker related.

The 95777 Global Ban thread - UPDATED - Acknowledgement at last!

Problem is, I just Problem is, I just got this game. I haven't been able to even play an hour of it. I just paid steam $30 for a new pretty page in my game library and a fun main menu of a scary shore. :( -

Oh my god, if this isn't settled soon I'm just going to request steam to give me a refund. I hear everyone gets one free refund with steam, and if there's anything to use it on, it's this. It's obvious that BI and BE don't give a shit about their players. Hackers run wild and they go ahead and ban legits. And you know what? BattlEye can never do any wrong! Why do I even bother. -_- -
3 Global bans in one minute (US #NY199)
Yatta (DayZ) replied to pvtjelo's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
1k bans in one day... I wonder what the active population of this game is. -
I know this is unlikely to be a problem, but a commonality from earlier is that a lot of those banned seem to be running quadcore with a launch param of -cpuCount=4. Do either of those conditions apply to you?
-
Psyl3nt, what's your setup?
-
This Dwarden has yet to respond to my PM, as does the actual BI Dwarden on the BI forums.

Hey guys, just trying to organize us a little. If you can, can you please upvote this and give your story? http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/xz3bs/dayzarma_ii_anticheat_glitches_bans_hundreds_if/

That's fine. Just use DayZ commander or something to find a server which runs on an older version.

What you say is very true. But right now, I'm still in a mild state of shock. I guess I'm acting irrationally. I really hope it's something like a communication error... I mean, it's unlikely since I've got a seemingly unique ban ID, and my client had to get that ID from somewhere, correct? Depending on how BE is set up, well, you know... Either way, I hope this gets resolved soon.
