I'm sorry you feel that way.

Most players recommend whitelist servers because the tend to have better communities with fewer undesirables (i.e. scripters). To the best of my knowledge, Balota Buddies (mentioned above) falls into that category.

PAX East - March 2013 - Presenation/Q&A/Interviews/Articles

Do you type all that yourself, every time? Thanks. -
I hate it when games I brought don't work.

Damn, Interesting.

A lot of admins ban people for illegitimate equipment. You can't blame them for purging the servers of the stuff when it's commonly held and used by scripters. If you can't find it in weapon lists on help sites (i.e. DayZ Wiki), it's illegitimate. I'd advise you to avoid them.

That's odd, I've never seen that happen before.

I think the Lee Enfeild is under rated :P

I before E except after always. -
If I remember correctly, it's also harmless. If you hit continue it won't affect your gameplay, and you shouldn't see it unless you log in again.

There's always the possibility of something lying out and the open being used as bait. I'd be more concerned about looting a body than a tent, though. Most tents you see in the open are harmless.

Will standalone support the non-Chernarus maps ?
Xucphra replied to malau's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I would imagine, given the large amount of user content that Arma supports and DayZ has, we'll probably be seeing custom maps imported or created from scratch in the new(?) engine. I'm certain there are many mappers/modders out there waiting to get their hands on the standalone. How long that will take, and in what manner we'll see it happen is hard to tell. I'm just guessing, though. I have no real evidence to support anything I just said. B) -
Mechanic Idea: Blood Transfusion Cannot recover blood lost due to hunger.

Makes sense, but seems unnecessary. -
Loadout, playstyle and supplies.
Xucphra replied to Antheus (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
There are quite a few threads around that ask similar questions regarding playstyle and strategy. You shouldn't have a hard time finding some. -
You can't get that skin anymore on most servers. I think some private hives still use it, specifically ones that run Lingor island.

There's no point. You would have to nerf it so much it wouldn't be worth using. It's a cool toy, but it's just not a necessary thing for a game like DayZ.

The L85A2 AWS was "really rare" as well, and spotting was all most people used it for anyway. While it is a good rifle, the thermal vision itself was the problem. Removing the ability to fire through a thermal scope doesn't change anything. Snipers would still have their easy targeting advantage. The style of the device used is irrelevant to the larger issue.

DayZ SA: One Key One Character
Xucphra replied to DemonGroover's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I never change my name, so I wouldn't mind if I was stuck with it. I don't believe it would accomplish much, though. Many people maintain the same name anyway, and most don't develop a reputation. -
There are many threads about the hacking scripting problem in DayZ. If you clicked a section of the forum at random you probably could've found something relating to it. You did not need to start a new thread so you could vent your complaints.

Devblog update: Where is the Standalone?
Xucphra replied to rocket's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
You're being completely ridiculous. He disagreed with your opinion and presented his own in a respectable manner. Why must you resort to name calling and hostilities? -
Glad to hear it.

If you ever have an issue with loot piles or spawns of any kind, it's likely a result of something wrong on the server's end. Check and see what happens on a new server, most of the time it's not a recurring problem.

Does it happen on every server? Have you tried others?
