With some friends in Balota airfield and we're looting the tower. All entrances are covered, and i go to loot the middle floor. I see a guy, try to speak to him over skype and just watch him loot for a bit. he sees me and shoots me... turns out someone loaded up INSIDE the tower... when my buddies looked for him, he had logged out...im the only one that got shot... meh

Im my opinion, they're just rare enough. What I dont like is that when i do find an alice pack (or anything above assault pack), i find them in groups of like 4 or 5. Recently ive started finding alices on top of czech backpacks... i go hours without finding a good pack, then i find backpack on backpack action lol!

I think starting with no pistol adds a different dimension to the game than starting with one. Pre-firearm: im more prone to sneaking around and keeping a low profile (though losing zeds is still a breeze), but post-firearm: i get a little more aggressive with my play style even sprinting through cherno knowing i have the ability to kill something. Survival is still an aspect of the game, and starting without one and having to find one helps feel like there's a transition from surviving the zed problem and into surviving the player problem. Personally, I think we should start with the czech vest pouch and... that way it has a function in the game... and no flashlight :)

After my buddy and I killed a pair of snipers camping out atop the hospital in Cherno (they were both bino-ing out an area at the same time.... dumb...) After moving along, i start taking fire, and my friend and I split up (me in the woods and my friend in a building). As it was the same guy I killed, it appears that one of them ran back atop it and looted his old ak. He chased me into the woods and while running from him and taking fire, i saw a fresh spawn in the woods with no weapon crouching and looking up at me, no doubt scared from the gunfight that was happening around him. As I was running past him, still taking fire, when i got to about 5 meters from the fresh spawn I nailed him 3 times in the chest without even stopping. Still remember him closing his pack and looking up at me with nothing in his hands knowing he was helpless... he didnt even turn to run away...

I know im a few days late the to the discussion, but i have a question: I've been thinking of getting dayz commander. When trying to uninstall six launcher, i can only find six updater to uninstall. Will uninstalling six updater effectively uninstall six launcher as well, or do i have to uninstall them separately?

Happened to my friend and i last night. We both got massive graphical artifact glitches, so we logged out then back into the same server. Our gears gone..... and this was after earlier today we all coast spawned.... then got hacker killed...... ::sigh:: ...but i guess half the fun is finding the gear in the first place

Just ended a session of DayZ, and here's what happened: After looting someones tent on my way to cherno, i find myself decently equipped with enough space to carry some gear i get in cherno. I stop on a hill overlooking cherno with that radio tower and seeing no zeds around the town or tower leading me to believe that no1s around at the moment, i figure its a good time/place to end this morning DayZ bit. I prone next to a tree and get ready to abort with nothing eventful happening, but dumb and still kinda sleepy me clicks i'm ready or whatever the hell its called instead of disconnect. 15 or so secs later when i get back in, cherno, the radio tower the surrounding woods look like they are on fire, there are two to three large pillars of smoke (1 from cherno, 1 from tower), explosions and crazy mg fire from the other side of the hill. ... so little ol me having just an enfield stays prone, listens to all of this for about a minute, instantly recalls all the horribly things ive read about hackers, like people exploding whole buildings then killing everyone (but have yet to experience myself), and then calmly disconnect... If not some hacker thing, I feel both love and WTF about DayZ right now :)

Been at this whole survival thing for a few weeks now, but mostly solo. Few times ive played in a group, the experience has been better. Unfortunately, my friends dont see the appeal to dayz. So, im looking for a casual group/individuals for the fun and benefits that come from good teamwork (and by casual i mean that understand i/we have things in RL i/we gotta do besides gaming somtimes). Time zone isnt too important to me, but im PST if that makes a difference. To me, age doesnt really matter for teammates (if it matters for u, im in early 20s), but maturity level does (ive seen good groups get ruined by one immature person).
