Don't give up hope. Remain friendly. If you absolutely need to, head up north and be solitude. I know it's super boring and there's nothing to do there, but at least you can explore. My advice to you, is to be more stealthy, use a microphone when you see someone, and if they don't reply... shoot him, he was planning to do it to you. Never trust a man without a microphone.

I only support this Auto-Run idea as long as it allows the player to type while running at the same time. One time I formed a group with these dudes and one guy didn't have a mic. We had to stop every five seconds just so he could tell us something.

There is no stopping what you do but you. DayZ is about surviving. not from Zombies, not from Bandits, but from yourself. You are the only thing keeping you alive. Once you become the very thing you hate (bandits), it's not survival anymore. It's just living, shooting, murdering for pointless reasons, and eventually dying. Don't give in to the "Oh, well I was KOS'ed so I may as well KOS too just so it doesn't happen to me again" bullshit mentality. Interact! Make friends, groups, play solo, be a survivor! The greatest threat to you in Chernarus is yourself. Don't hold yourself back.

Find a map, find a compass, do some orienteering, learn some Russian via the Russian Learning Book in-game, attempt to read the roadsigns, get lost, end up in the wrong place, have fun, explore, survive. Eventually, one day, you will reach your destination. If you learned anything about DayZ in the next year, please let it be this: Enjoy your time as a 'noob', wander around, don't pretend to know where you are, admit you're lost, don't look to the internet for help, and above all.. get lost. Because once you know Chernarus like the back of your hand, you'll wish to go back to the good 'ol days. The one's you're in now. Trust me, I would give anything to wipe my memory of Chernarus and it's locations just to have the same feeling of disorientation, hopelesness and utterly lost..ness like you are right now. Nobodies stopping you from clicking the links below, but trust me, if you don't you'll have a better DayZ experience.

And that, right there is why you don't meet many people. My definition of bandit: Socially awkward people who'd rather just shoot someone for no reason at all than immerse themselves in the multiplayer aspect of the game through social interaction with other players. A friend and I went to Green Mountain in the standalone to see if it was still cursed. We looted the Barracks/Jail thing that was there, then climbed up the ladder to take a picture. My friend was the first to take the picture, and snabbed this one of me posing. Then I told him to pose and I moved to get a good angle. As I moved, I was flung off the side of the balcony where I fell to my death. Yep. Green Mountain is still cursed.

Mine was the town beside Guba, BEFORE the update that turned it into Svetnovodsk or whatever it's called.

Here's a monotype print I made of some beans in honour of the mod that changed the world, and in celebration of the game release. If you dont't know, monotype is a style of printmaking where you paint on a sheet of aluminum with a special type of ink. Everything had to be backwards (words, shadows, layout, etc), so when it went through the press it came out proper. I think it turned out quite well. I also have some sketches underneath. Here's a few sketches of a guy I named Ted And an unnamed man with hope for the future... And lastly, a little dilemma I faced while playing the standalone.

I'm sure there's some ethical and moral reasons they're not zombifying little children for people to kill. Despite the dillemma, I think they should add them for the reasons in the post above. They will be extremely annoying though - anyone who's played No More Room In Hell would know this. Remember, they're not real children, it's a game. Heck, even Minecraft has zombie children.

What's so good about this Mosin Nagant thing. It's a bolt action rifle invented 122 years ago. I don't see the practical uses in it compared to an AK or something like that...

Make Survival Break Run-and-gun

I seriously thought I'd never have to make one of these, but here goes. I was Banned from US 1252 for god knows what. Some sort of script thing? Here's the story. A friend and I were running around, he lost some blood, and I had to bloodbag him a ton while on the journey. I bloodbagged him this one last time, and halfway through the process, I turned into a hero then 2 other heroes appeared out of nowhere and did the bloodbag animation. They were not players, just bots. Then my friend and I were kicked, and played on another public server. I don't think I'll ever play on 1252 again, but I'd rather not be banned. I was Captain Mullraugh [FA1-1] at the time and my friend was Oryon 'Axe' Estevane Again, I don't care if i'm unbanned or not.

Oh I assumed he was banned as well, since we were both kicked. I haven't confirmed it with him yet.

Get ArmA II. There's so many more maps and mods of DayZ on there, plus you don't have to play JUST DayZ, you can try out other awesome mods for the game like Invasion 1944 and Wasteland

I love the Inventory a lot.

I say we should all wait until the stanalone comes out. If it's a huge KoS clusterfuck, then we should think about this stuff.

One time, my buds and I were playing on Origins. We all spawned in Byelov and were attempting to group up. I had made it to the firestation, but my friends were pinned down by LMG fire coming from the hospital. I found the gunman and his friend, but only had 2 rounds with an AKM I found on a dead body. I fired the two shots at the machinegunner, but missed and hit his friend -which knocked him out. At that point, the gunman directed all his fire to me, and pinned me down. I told my friends to go up both the hospital ladders at the same time and hack at the gunner with their hatchets (since their makarovs were out of ammo). Next thing I see is 3 guys climbing on top of the roof with hatchets and sneaking up behind the gunner screaming "For Narnia!" as they all hacked him to death and killed his unonscious teammate. The End.

Here's my first animation ever. Hope it's good, cause I think it is..

I don't see how that would work unless you were bit by a zombie and turned into one. (And I'm sure not many people would like that added to the game) From what I can tell, DayZ doesn't have the classic 'Walking Dead' George Romero zombies where everyone who dies turns into one.

I predict there will be Vodka and Russian Roulette in the Standalone.
