Longest distance kill for me: about 100 meters. And I'm proud of it because you shouldn't be sniping in DayZ.

If there have been suggestions just like this... cool. Like I always say; If there's one or more suggestions of the same thing, it's usually a good idea. Polaroid Camera: After taking a picture (should also add the ability for selfies) it prints out a photo which you can store in your inventory. Picking up the photograph will also save a screenshot to your Steam Library (or they could add a "Screenshots" folder to DayZ with subfolders for the different types of cameras). You can drop the photograph and give it to someone else. When they pick it up, they also get a screenshot saved. Video Camera + Tripod: Use it like Survivor Man to film your adventures. Saves 10 minutes of video IN-GAME on the camera for everyone to enjoy, but unlimited minutes of video to Steam or DayZ Screenshots folder - subfolder "videos". You can attach a tripod to it and film a certain area, or you walking down the street. Should have the ability for night vision mode, and in first-person you can look through the viewfinder or at the litle flip-out screen. (Kind of like the Outlast game.) If you have any more ideas for cameras, leave them below!

Here's a Cinematic video I made about Green Mountain. http://youtu.be/dyn1Lzb_8Lc I thought I'd put this here seeing as Cinematics don't really fall under any specific type of DayZ (Mod/Standalone) because it's more about the concept rather than the game. It's also here in the Curse of Green Mountain thread - check it out http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/179560-the-curse-of-green-mountain/

Alright! Here's the cinematic I've mentioned before in the post about me nuking Green Mountain.

The Standalone has become something I love playing. Something amazing.

Today I was messing around in ArmA II because I want to film a documentary or a cinematic on Green Mountain. I'm sure everyone has wondered if people have tried to destroy it. The answer is yes. Hundreds have tried and failed. From satchel charges to helicopters to tanks, even grenades. Nobody has successfully destroyed Green Mountain. Here's a video of my attempt at destroying that damned cursed mountain. A nuke. The sound in the background is the Russian UVB-76 Numbers Station. This particular recording, we can hear a pretty rare chance of someone talking.

Exactly. Would you rather die trying to help someone, or die to some random glitch? Your choice. -
A bit of ammo, a rifle, and a stylish non-military set of clothes.

Never get attached to your gear. You WILL lose it eventually. -
Amazingly Super Fun And Awesome Best Game Ever Made Ever

Well I dunno. I was able to hit a target from a decent distance with a .300 win rifle when I was around 15-ish, so I mean.. it couldn't be that hard to just pick up a gun and go. It doesn't take much skill to shoot a gun, really. The aiming LONG DISTANCE is the hard part I suppose.
-
You know what. In all my life, I have never heard a black man with a UK-area accent. Not to sound bigoted or whatever, but.. wow haha. That's a first. I guess living in Canada you don't see many people with UK-ish accents to begin with... I say UK-area loosely, I realize there's a billion different accents there, like Londoners sound different than people from other places and such. Blah blah blah. Politically Correctness is the end of this world, I swear.

... Every gun I've shot so far in DayZ was.. I'd say is about 95% accurate with about a 5 cm difference from where I'm actually aiming. I'm not sure what you fellas are talking about, but DayZ guns are super accurate. What distances are you even shooting at?

WARNING: This suggestion contains choking hazards. Keep away from children. Do not try at home.

they're mods of a mod of a DLC of another DLC of a Military Simulator.
-
Except everyone in said Arcade game are Russian or American soldiers. Everyone in DayZ comes from a Civilian background, unless you named yourself something like 1SGT. Dave J. Dingleberry and pretended to be a First Sergeant - which is extremely cliché and tons of people do it (minus the naming part).
-
yes please. Remove them

NO NO NO NO NO YOU'VE CURSED US ALL. This is one of my favorite views. Of course it's 100% better at sunset and when your settings are maxed out (I took this picture before I got a better videocard)

I love the new update. It's awesome. The amount of zombies is perfectly perfect to keep you wary of them. I still haven't figured out fires and all that cool stuff, but I will - granted they're actually in the update. I love it! Anyone who complains about the zombies needs to mannnnn up! It's the zombie apocalypse, and now it actually feels like it! Look! I'm a Farmer!!

What.. rain makes you bleed? What?! Green Mountain, I swear.

Proper storage of any and all firearms is to remove the magazine first. Though, I don't see why the mags would be halfway across the map instead of lying around beside the pistol.
-
welcome to the real world. Rain is wet. I LOVE RAIN SO MUCH IN THIS GAME NOW.

I say add it. It takes serious amounts of training and skill to even aim the damn thing. You'd be lucky if you hit the broad side of a barn with it. Not to mention mortar rounds aren't 100% reliable and either don't blow up, or land on the ground in front of you. Plus on top of all that you'd have to lug it around like some pack mule just to use it on the rare occasion you see someone in the distance and have enough time to get it set up and fire off a round before they get close enough. I don't see why they would add it, purely because it's not really a necessity like a Kalashnikov assault rifle (WE NEED AN AKM PRONTO) but there's no logical reason against adding a mortar either. The thing would be so hard to find, and the ammo so hard to find, and the ability to aim it so hard, and the fact you can't have a backpack while carrying it so stupid that it really wouldn't be bad for the game play. It's not like Call of Duty or Battlefield where mortars are dead-on 100% accurate where you aim them with the stupid flight-path indicator things like a golf game has. I say add them if they want. They're not needed though.
