Hi, lead developer of 2017 here :) I can tell you we will actually be going into closed alpha pretty soon, and a public beta shouldn't be anything more than a few months away. That's not to say, that we won't have our "full" experience yet in a year; that could easily happen, but that's game development for you. I had a talk with Rocket at Gamescom, and asked him this, but he brought up a good point. In it's current state, Altis doesn't have enough content, in terms of cities, and things like that. You could make it work I guess, but you'd need quite a lot of additions/changes. -

Please stop whining about the zombie AI. It's arma's issue, not DayZ. The community devs can only do so much. (remember that the mod is not made by rocket anymore, the community modders do it) -

I've been getting this error all the time now when trying to join a server with the latest beta: BattlEye initialization failed I've basicly tried everything: - Redownloading arma 2 & OA through steam - Installing BattlEye in arma 2/Battleye, arma 2 oa/BattlEye and arma 2oa/expansion/Battleye. - Putting the beclient.dll in C:\users\myname\appdata\local\arma 2 oa\battleye, but whenever i join a server it just deletes the file - Uninstalling battleye, reinstalling it - Running it as admin. - Removing registry keys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive and Bohemia Interactive Studio before reinstalling NONE of these things worked. Can anyone help me out here? I'm kinda fed up with this.

Any DayZ 2017 servers out there?

We have 3 different servers running, one with 2017 with a stable playerbase of 20-30 in peak time :) You can join us at http://www.planet-dayz.com, the 2017 server is public and is well protected from hackers with our anti-hacks and very active admins (you can expect an admin online during peak hours and even on other hours as well). I'm one of the admins there and I'm also the developer of the server software of 2017, so you can expect a stable server and feel free to ask anything about the mod :) -

Try putting the Addons folder of your Arma 2 installation in the Operation Arrowhead folder. -

The Ka60 on Namalsk is great. I've been flying the Huey for a long time, and the Ka60 is refreshing. It's bigger and faster, and it has missiles on it! (yeah, missiles!) -

Yes - for maps like Namalsk, it would be great if they could still be used in the Standalone - I have a slight suspicion though it won't, at least not without Rocket's approval of the map. I heard they locked down the engine so much, so I'm not sure. -

It's lag mate. That should answer all your questions. You have a few options to decrease it from happening: - Buy a better internet connection - Only play on very low ping servers (<50).

I know this guy's trolling, but I can't resist correcting him: Alt+f4 isn't in the game's code, it's in the Windows OS code. -
I am currently on a private server, and our admin found out somewhere in the files that there is indeed a huey on our map. I'd really like to know the possible huey spawns in 1.7.2.4+ (since apparentely rocket changed huey spawn spots). Currently checked: - Berezino north field - NE field Novy Sobor - Stary Sobor military - Skalisty island - Rog - Staroye cattle sheds - Cherno hospital - NW Airfield - NE Airfield - Skalka - North of Gvozdno - Also Solnichniy, but we werent sure on where the spawn spot actually is. Help us and the other forumers guys, post your helicopter spawns in 1.7.2.4+! Thanks :)

Finite number of vehicles in server?

Are there are a finite number of vehicles on a server? I'm with a private server, so we know how many there are; 7. We have a bus, traktor, GAZ, V3S, Pickup truck and 2 S1203's. But now for a few days, after multiple server restarts, we haven't found one vehicle. No single car, heli, watercraft, whatever. Thanks for the info. -
