Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

If there are any medics near Elektro that would like some ground support, I'm online and ready to help. I'm also stocked with everything except antibiotics. -
Playing DayZ with an unusual or non-PvP approach? Tell us!

I tend to stick to the outskirts of the coastal cities. Occasionally making a quick run into Elektro or Cherno to look for things I might need, such as medical supplies or food. Otherwise, I'm content to stick to the shadows of the tree line, with healthy lines of sight all around without exposing myself. I also try to avoid others, usually by sneaking away upon seeing them. Over the time I've played DayZ, I've been shot at way too often to really trust anyone any more, unless I've spoken with them before on the forums or know them in real life. Unlike others, though, I do my best to avoid a confrontation rather than needlessly gunning down someone who might be totally innocent. Avoiding others doesn't mean that I'll just sit and watch someone get nom'd on by zombies. If I saw someone being chased, and if they were completely unarmed (meaning no hatchet or anything) I'd jump in to try and rescue that person, no questions asked. If they were hurt, I'd heal them up, give them some basic supplies if I could spare it, and send them on their way. Otherwise, I'd just drop to prone and hope they don't run in my general direction. So far, I have yet to put a bullet into anyone I've come across, though I've been shot at a few times. I suppose you could consider me a sort of guardian for the weak, and a ghost to the more experienced (and possibly dangerous). -
Newer player looking for some company

You're welcome to add me on Steam: glaive_silver I also have Skype, but I prefer to use direct chat. I can PM you if you want it, though. I've been playing DayZ solo for a few weeks now, and I'd much rather travel around with a team. -
It was my second life, as the first one was wasted running from zeds outside of Cherno. Keep in mind this was before I really got a feel for the map's layout. I had been running through the forest for a while, trying to find a small town or something to stay in, since I had been injured earlier and had lost a bit of blood. I came upon what looked to be a small industrial site consisting of an incomplete three-story concrete building, and a small shack next to it. I took shelter in it, because it was pitch black outside, and I was hoping to find a decent weapon to replace my hatchet. Luckily for me, I found a Remington 870 on the ground floor, and a couple stacks of shells a floor above. Settling in for the night, I went up to the third floor (one beneath the rooftop) and ate a meal of canned beans and Coca-Cola. Maybe about 30 minutes after getting comfortable, I heard the crunch of gravel on one of the lower levels. I took up my shotgun, thinking a zombie had wandered in. My senses were on high alert as I made my way down to where I heard the sound, and brought my shotgun up to my shoulder. The sound was getting louder as I wandered down a hallway, and it occurred to me how it sounded like someone was searching the building, scavenging for items like I did just half an hour earlier. I turned the corner into a doorway leading into one of the building's larger rooms, and ran headlong into something covered in grass and leaves. I think I scared the guy as much as he scared me, because when we ran into each other, he opened up with his rifle as I backed away. He hit me once, and I was bleeding, so I ran. The whole time, my character was freaking out due to him running really low on blood, which didn't make me feel any better while I tried finding a hidden spot to get patched up. I found a spot, and started throwing bandages on, hoping to stave off the bleeding until I found a blood pack. The guy I ran into moments earlier found me, and it was my turn to freak out. Despite seeing the muzzle flash, I didn't hear the rifle fire over my desperate yells of "FRIENDLY! I'M FRIENDLY!!" The last thing I saw was the guy approaching my body cautiously, to see if what he had done was worth it.

It's an auto-close function for the active window. Kind of like using the Task Manager to force a program to close. -

I have to say, I'm really satisfied with the service. Seeing a couple of people approaching, knowing they were here to help (and NOT shoot me) felt great. If I cross paths with you folks again and I'm not injured, I'll be more than happy to provide cover until your job's complete. -

Hey guys, I'm in need of a little help. I got into a tussle with some zeds around Komarovo not long after respawning, and managed to escape with ~8300 blood and a broken bone. The only problem is that I don't have much outside of the basic starting equipment and a hatchet I picked up just before getting my legs kicked in. I'm currently lying prone in the grass next to the S-bend in the road just outside of Komarovo, and would really appreciate some medical assistance.
