I know everything there is to know about Half-Life

It takes me maybe 5 minutes to join a server with 45/50 people

This would be kind of gross, but I suppose it makes sense...

So many threads suggesting this already...

Other than this, your ideas are good. My reasoning to have earbuds is just how unlikely it is to find one of these with headphones. Very few people use headphones with their ipods/zunes/what have you, because they come with earbuds and earbuds are much smaller and easier to move around.

What's that map thing in the bottom right corner? I don't know if I should already know this, but if so, forgive me, I am a noob :P

None taken, this is fairly low on my list too, this should be something added maybe near the end of beta when the game is being polished off, with all the miscellaneous fun little things being added, but all of my other ideas have already been posted so I figured why not.

First off, I know there are a few threads similar to this one, but they aren't very well written and my ideas are more in-depth and different, so- I think you should be able to find MP3 players in cities. They would have to be a fairly rare spawn, and only in bigger cities (finding an MP3 player in a barn in the middle of nowhere seems kind of dumb). It would need batteries if they are implemented, like the flashlight. What these would do would be to completely block out the actual games audio including VOIP and maybe even the chat, instead playing custom music you put in a folder somewhere (maybe you can designate this folder by pressing a key to interact with the MP3 player, the same way you do with a map). This would be a disadvantage, because you wouldn't be able to hear zombies or other players, but I still think it could be kind of fun :) . Perhaps when you put on the player, earbuds should appear in your ears so that other players using VOIP would know why you aren't answering them. Anyway, that's my suggestion, feel free to rip it to shreds or commend or whatever.

I made one. Feel free to use it for whatever you want.

Techercizer, your comparisons and reasoning are flimsy at best. Regardless, (this part directed toward hobbicon) I think UAVs could be a cool addition to the game, but you shouldn't get a chase or interior cam. Instead, they should take pictures or video and you have to watch them from the ground while you pilot them, and then when you land them you can look at the pictures it took.

20 words or less: Spawning without a weapon

NO I'm getting pretty tired of being killed before finding a gun because I'm not a super tryhard 24/7 player. -
Reasons to huddle around a campfire..
Cyrusdexter replied to Redrick (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
STALKER <3 Perhaps being around the campfire could also temporarily reduce/remove pain shakes if you've been having them because of the soothing and calming aspect? -
You have to loot it while it's still in a circle on the ground, if it's already set up (barbed wire fences or whatever) you can't get it.

EDIT: I believe I have to install both games into the same directory. Could an admin delete this thread please, as it is no longer needed? So I've finally managed to correctly install Dayz, and when I try to connect to servers I get the usual missing.chernarus message. I know there are a couple thousand thread on this, but the only solution I've found is to launch Arma 2 combined operations from steam instead of Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead. I, however, have bought combined operations from amazon, and have no combined operations shortcut. All I have is the 2 separate games. I know I have installed everything right, and I've copied the Arma 2 addons folder into the OA folder, but it still says I'm missing .chernarus. Is there anything I can do, or do I seriously have to buy the game only from steam to get it to work?
