When passing under a set of powerlines, you catch yourself noting the angle it crosses your path, and thinking "I need to check the map" Seeing empty tin cans causes you to feel a little inexplicable disappointment. Walking on gravel makes you nervously crouch and slow down. You see someone walking. They suddenly take a quick step and you lock your gaze on them expecting for them to turn and start running after you... Seeing a patch of pine forest somehow gives you a certain sense of security.

Actually, I think anyone who has lived very long in DayZ, upon seeing this would think it's probably a trap. Next time I spawn in naked at the coast, I'mma' pick up some road flares and go on a theory testing road trip!

I've always had a deep seated fear of something like this happening in real life. I .. um...just needed to share that. P.S. maybe we could have a contest. What's the reward for finding and shooting you? :P (It's not a "persistent vegetative state" - it's a FEATURE!!)

I'm speculating of course but all this talk of HIVEs and servers leads me to believe someone just made an honest mistake, you know "new people on the job" type stuff... shit can happen... "Billy, go swap out that bladeserver - the HIVE has become unstable! we need to support the extra load for the weekend!!!!!!! "It seems to be working, but..... the floor in the server room is kinda... STICKY??!!??

It's a nice sentiment / mentality in order to explore alternative approaches to gameplay. Unfortunately it WOULD be ruined by those metagamers who would use medic skinned individuals as infiltrators. I've played too many years of Eve online to trust anyone in-game for this exact reason. It is a shame that good ideas get subverted by those with ulterior motives.... Easy dude, it's just a game. methinks someone needs to take a break from crawling in the bushes and play some hello kitty online. Too much canned pasta, pepsi, and "lamb of god" is bad for the spirit! - peace out! LOL

Worked like a charm!! I had originally played on my son's steam account, on my computer to try the game out, then bought it through my steam account. What was really funny, would be the weirdness we encountered - like playing on My account and logging off with a bunch of stuff, and then he'd log in on HIS account, on his computer, and his character would be on the coast (or on another occasion, at my last location) but with MY items. The show stopper was when we attempted to play together and the last joiner would be insta - kicked. I guess the account management / cd key / steam / Bohemia - thing just doesn't handle segregating the accounts very well deep down in it's decaying zombie-like innards. Thanks for the tip - Have my beans!!!
