I thought more military loot spawns would lessen the problem, but it hasn't. One private server during the MOD days would have the military bases move around periodically (hell they're TENTS right?) so you'd have to find them at different places once in a while. That seemed to lessen the farming. Crash sites were aswesome because of their transient nature. I'm beginning to think ANY military loot spawn should be dynamic. One other thing - it would be refreshing to at least get shot in the face once in a while, or SEE your attacker. every time I've died it's been BLAM BLAM BLAM Black screen. Lack of situational awareness or server hoppers? you decide. I usually don't kill anyone, but out of anger and frustration from being constantly Backshot, I myself killed the next guy i saw that way. It didn't make me feel any better. On the contrary I felt like a jerk. Meh... live and learn. I also think that the lack of trust is exacerbated by the lack of sidechat.

The only way to assure that there is NO WAY to break your legs - the only SURE way... Is to HAVE broken legs. So far the "multiple fractures" feature just doesn't exist. err... yet? :(

It's killing me that I'm at work now and don't have time, otherwise I'd definitely troll you with a "my little pony" version. Well, and then maybe a real one just to be nice. :)

the chronology was broke legs and were loosing blood / grey screen. As soon as you hit the ground, it said "In Combat" and showed the G17 combat icon. then you were dead. Would an AS-50 round to the legs do that? or possibly a grenade behind you - I've heard that you don't hear the grenade that kills you in DayZ. Everybody wants to yell Hackzz!! when the post-death analysis is unclear, but lets face it - rapid sequential events in Arma2 are often animated non-linearly or not necessarily chronologically, or even completely. the engine is funky. especially when someone on the other team has 200 ping.

250ms is 1/4 of a second, and that's a mighty loooong time in computer gaming terms. I'd rather stay under the 50ms mark but as Hazza stated, in Arma you can get away with over 150 ping if you have to. I think it only starts kicking up around 200 - 250. I've also played on servers with 18 - 25 ping, but was laggy as hell due to other factors (Bandwidth and Desync?). I'm not familiar with those parameters.

Now Hetstaine, I only wish Arma2 had the ability to walk up to a body and kick it in the face a few times. I'd find those flies buzzing and I'd give him a few for good luck - for you buddy.

Usually is >you shoot zombie to protect them > they think you've turned on them > they begin shooting you > someone hears the firefight > whoever survived initially gets hunted down > you all end up dead. Or variations on that theme.

Once you're dead, you can't re-pack it because it's no longer "Yours" it's that guy who died's tent (AKA you, in your past life) you can remove and add, and save items, and from what I understand, as long as it's "Saved" or has a transaction every 7 days, it will remain. The safest thing to do, is find another tent and deploy it, and move your gear into it. Yeah, I've broken my legs this way a few times. Crawling is deadly, especially crawling backwards / sideways.

Old bike hands down!! Advantages: Silent Never breaks (never stays broken?) Is intact and useable when found For all intents and purposes is silent requires no fuel +++ !!! easily steered full speed through heavy forest very easily hidden in thick pine trees (I've almost lost a couple this way - GPS FTW!) Drawbacks: No inventory slots I look stupid in a Ghillie suit, with NVG's and an AS-50, on an old bike held together with rope. :( All the stealthiness in the world fails when you accidentally ring the bell!
