A guy ran into cherno church with a horde of Z behind him. He went prone shouting "PLEASE DONT KILL ME" whilst waving his flashlight. I saved him and we played for around 3-4 hours as a two man team, me teaching him the basics and him covering my ass. I got disconnected and haven't ever met him again. Should have killed him, you have no evidence that he's a cheater. You win some you lose some this time you lost. AT LEAST IT DIDN'T RAIN BUSES!

It works in D3 because loot is instanced, however if it was implemented into DayZ high (nephalem valor) players would cause rare loot to spawn for everyone. It just wouldn't work, sorry.

Well the DayZ alpha is free, I assume that DayZ v1.0 will cost for everyone. It was a MOD for ARMA 2 and I don't think it was planned that people would buy ARMA just for DayZ. My guess is we will have to pay, but my £20 has got me many hours of gameplay :D

I've seen this appear just before cows started raining from the sky, I was laughing until everyone on the server got ported to an island in the middle of nowhere to fight battle royale style. I'd e-mail battle-eye, its a pretty bad anti-cheat protection.

A guy (possible hacker) gave me a bike, I was ecstatic. It is without a doubt the best vehicle for solo (loner) play.

I've seen these small destroyed towns, its usually where a hacker has strolled through and blown everything up. Don't worry you're not out of the map or anything.

I agree with admins abusing their power and something should be done. However, locked servers are fair, they pay for the server so they don't get hackers and griefers. Although it gives them the chance to gear up I've done the same thing on a low population server (4 players online) before.

If you had aggroed Z before you logged out then that can cause it.

Buildings can be destroyed with explosives. Seen whole towns leveled by hackers before, doesn't happen often but its very annoying

I got the backpack you're looking for at the NW airfield and a guy (possible hacker) gave me a bicycle :D I'd strive for NVGs as I also have the M14 AIM and with NVGs its amazing. Good Luck!

I bought ARMA 2 CO just for DayZ. It has been well worth it, I've even played a bit of the real game ;) I would recommend it, however rocket plans to release it as a separate game i believe. I'm not sure when this is happening but £20 for DayZ alpha is well worth it IMO.

This is a great idea, but I think it would be far too easy to infiltrate this group and ruin the whole operation. I'd like to get involved though.

for example: I was siting in cherno with my M14 AIM when cows started raining. "oh you crazy hackers" so I stayed on the server. We all got TP to an island and everyone started shooting each other. I got out fine, but the moral is to leave as soon as you even suspect a hacker.
