    No I think you need to reread this thread where Rocket explains it: http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2942 The previous four hour figure was incorrect, rather than being 4 hrs it was 40 mins - he has rewritten the script to include all players both alive and dead, the current average should be correct. (I believe it is 28 mins now). Rocket also alludes to the average life expectancy falling to the half hour mark in an interview I read from a week or so ago. Happy to be corrected, I don't claim to know everything about DayZ but the forum thread I posted in this comment is pretty clear.

    Seeing how the only goal of this game I would like to see a screen at death which shows exactly how long you survived, distance travelled etc and perhaps a point system based on points for zombie kills, and perhaps points deducted for murders

    Yeah a points system is probably to arcade style for this game but survival time would be nice. I noticed that there is a leaderboard coming soon to this site so maybe Rocket has something in mind along these lines
