Honestly, I would say just use DayZ Commander or Playwithsix. I've heard that people have quite a few problems with the Steam version. DayZ Commander will download the latest versions and automatically apply them with one click, plus there's a server browser in it. http://www.dayzcommander.com/

Trust me the SA engine is going to be better for DayZ than any other engine. Specfically because Rocket and co. basically took bits and pieces and made the engine work specifically for DayZ. It's more like an ARMA 2.5 engine. It's the best thing for DayZ. Not to mention it gives them more freedom for features etc. -
Coding for Dayz only started in December of 2012....... so you couldn't have been playing it two years ago. Besides if your saying you got banned a year or two ago why are you just saying something now?

How do me an my buddies spawn together

You have to find each other in the world. If you pay attention when you first join the server it will tell you the name of the town you are in and when you find a map you can find it on there. You always spawn on the coast though. -

I think people realize that they are two different games. I personally am most likely going to buy both (maybe today) but DayZ SA is going to be awesome so is ARMA 3. -

They stated the server limit will be based on how many people can be in the world without over populating it. They said they have pretty much no technical limitations as far as server capacity. -

They make bracket type things that can hold the magazines together for a dual mag. But in a post-apocalyptic yeah, magazines and flashlights would probably be the most common things taped to guns. -

At release there will be less weapons than in the mod. But there will be weekly updates so it should be back up to the mod in no time. I think we will eventually surpass the mod in number of weapons. As to the setting I think all AK variants should be more common than M4/M16 style rifles. M4/M16's are easier to modify than AK's. -

Yeah you can never get the emotional part of battle, but the I think ARMA get's the tactical part down pretty well. -

Yeah. I mean I've never been in combat and obviously you can't really simulate combat, but I'd say ARMA easily is the most realistic shooter on the market. -
Did you even read what I said? Rocket is no longer working on the mod. It is being developed by the community. By people in their spare time. Who are not being payed for their work. And you expect them to get the game bug free? Right. When games like COD still have bugs, despite releasing the same game every year they manage to not get the bugs out. Just chilax. It's called an alpha for a reason. Also the SA is coming out soon, which is going to be much better than the mod in so many ways.

You don't just click a magical button and fix all the bugs. You have to do actual work. As previously stated Rocket and Co. are no longer working on the mod. It is being developed by the community in their spare time and they are not seeing any money from it.

This is true. Also yes everyone says it's "responsible" to keep your guns in a safe, but there are a lot of people that don't.

You can shoot at least a thousand rounds out of an AK without even cleaning it. M4 style rifles aren't so reliable, but they're far from unreliable. That being said I believe weapon decay (at least magazine decay) is already implemented. -

Yes the SD rounds.... Only difference between them and regular rounds is they don't break the sound barrier. As in they are actually called subsonic rounds (not sure where SD came from). -

My friend bought an AR-15 and it came with a muzzle brake on it that you could take off and attach a suppressor. So I'm pretty sure all M4 style rifles have threaded barrels.
