You don't have to be a crazy prepper to get a gas mask. You can get them off of Amazon for around $20. (USD)

Right. But you could find gunpowder, bullets, primer, etc. as loot (if it were in the U.S.). However I don't think it would be common at all in Russia. As I said you can use the shell casings you from the rounds you fired. -

This isn't necessarily true. I personally don't have experience doing it, but lots of people reload their ammunition. Granted it would be harder in an apocalypse as you would run out of the actual projectile and probably the gunpowder (can't think of what they use nowadays). However you could definitely put a mechanic like that in. Like in the SA demos when you eat the beans or whatever a tin can appears. Well when you shoot shell casings appear. They would be quite difficult to find in grass, but easy to see on concrete. To reload you would need the equipment, the projectile, some shell casings, powder, and primer. -
Yeah I'm not up on radio tech and the average range.

Rocket mentioned at Rezzed that you would be able to gather wood from trees (which we already can) m, but he also mentioned gathering grass. He didn't say what it was for, but I'm guessing (and this is because of real life use) to help start a fire.

I'm not positive on this but I think they may implement the finding individual bullets mechanic. Not sure though. As far as the coop elements, I'm not sure the engine could do something like that. I don't know though. -
Well we could just have them at the Military areas and say that the Military was brought in to contain the situation but failed. As for filters, they only last several hours.

Yeah I saw that. He didn't mention whether they would be funcitional or just stylish. Although I can't imagine him putting a gas mask in for cosmetics.

This could work if it were very rare as above stated. Maybe not starting with any extra loot, but stockpiles of good loot that randomly spawn. The owner could have been at work and not made it home or something. I also am a bit of a prepped. Not really for a zombie apocalypse, more like a natural disaster etc. No bunker or anything haha! Just a bugout bag that doesn't have a whole lot in it due to money restrictions haha! -
Well I'm pretty sure he said on Twitter that it will be cheaper than ARMA II. Now I'm guessing he meant Operation Arrowhead, because the base ARMA II is $12.99. And that's not on sale.

They did add it. They did mocap yesterday or the day before to add it among other things.

This admittedly is the exception to the rule. But as you said the percentages give it a chance of survival. -
They may change this. I have not seen or heard any indication of them changing this however. It would be a nice addition as I can guarantee you that you can holster a sidearm and pull a rifle off of your back while running.

While I agree that humans are quite tough, you could easily survive three 9x18mm shots to the chest. Don't believe me? Read this: http://www.policeone.com/police-heroes/articles/6199620-Why-one-cop-carries-145-rounds-of-ammo-on-the-job/ Now if you don't want to read that I'll give you the short version. A cop shot a criminal 14 times with .45ACP. Six of these shots went into the heart, right lung, left lung, liver, diaphragm, and right kidney. The firefight ended with the cop putting a round through the top of the criminals skull into his brain, along with one on each side of his mouth. While that's where the firefight ended, the criminal survived the wait until the EMT's got there and survived the ride back to the hospital where he then died.
