Well u said everything so dont know if anything i posted will help but maybe it can be of some help. If so try doing the cashe validate thing on the games. Hope its of some sort of help.

I am at day 6 now. I was near cherno where my friend and i got shot in the store. Bandit left us for dead didnt loot us or finish us off. I got help from a survivor while i got consious i asked help and a team of 2 people replied. They gave me blood transfusion and morphine for my leg. My friend was saved to and went in a chopper with some guys while i said i would stay in cherno to see if i can find any good loot. While i was just outside cherno i hear my friend scream on skype that they where getting shot at and they crashed near Kamarovo. My friend survived yet had only 2000 blood when he bandaged himself. I went running straight to him. I was getting shot underway so i sneaked into the mountain to end up behind the sniper that was shooting me and probably also my friend. So in voip i screamed IM FRIENDLY as im swinging my hatchet into his face till he died. Since i had little time i checked his backpack for loot. Since his sniper was low on ammo i didnt take it and left his body there. When i got to Kamarovo the whole place was flooded with Zeds. I made my way to the beach side and seen my friend laying there. I gave him a bloodbag and got him back up. We relocated and looked where we would go. We went to the deer stands right above us where we hoped to get some loot before running our way to Stary Sober. Near a house we argo'd a zed that hitted me and i got infected and broke my leg. We desided to go back to cherno to get something out of the hospital for my fever and broken leg. On the way there we found 2 hangars and some short of lookout tower. I said id take the hangars and he takes the tower, since i cant crawl up stairs. He said he found an Ak and than we heard a shot. So we both asked if it was us or not. Yet none of us seems to be shooting. So he took cover near the door and i layed down behind a truck. All of the sudden i see about 2 players running across taking down zeds and looting. After what seems hours of waiting we left and made our way to Cherno. at the edge of cherno we agro'd another zombie that knocked me out cold and i was losing blood fast. He said he didnt know what to do since he only had a AK and didnt want us to draw attention. Since i was about to die i told him to F*CKING SHOOT the bastards. He fired his ak and killed the 3 zombies that where feasting on me. I got up and bandaged myself as a horde of them came rushing at us. He fired all his ammo at the zeds and i swong my hatchet around. Before this happend we had about 10 zed kills each. By this time we both had about 60+ zed kills so it was pretty tense after crawling on we seen a hospital i told him to get some stuff as i provided a lookout on a higher building (since u cant go up stairs but can climb ladders with a broken leg WEIRD STUFF) He took some bloodbags,painkillers and a morphine for my leg and came back for me. We than both went back to loot what we needed but still i was coughing like hell. Than i said we had to go to elektro and hope to find some antibiotics there. We ran till we seen the huge hill next to elektro. But going around it would take time so we ran up the hill and found a tent camp. To bad no stuff in them so i putted in a can of beans for fun. We ran into elektro and sneaked to the hospital and finaly found antibiotics. So we all good to go than i said lets try getting over to the supermarket. We went to a building across te street to see if its clear and to get some decent loot. On the roof we where making up a stratagy as how to enter. Once i stood up we got shot at. So i got in cover. All bullets flying over us my friend crawled back into the building. As i tryed to do that i got glitched into the roof edge and got shot at pretty bad i had about 6 shots hit me. At that time i thought i was going to die but i managed to get inside and bandage myself as my friend gave me a bloodbag and morphine for my leg ( yea broke it 3x and still running do not try at home though) Once inside the building i sneaked out the back way to see where he was located at. We knew it must have come from the treeline near the hill. So i scouted but coudnt see anything. So i trew a smoke and ran away the opposite way with my friend to another building. After waiting for about 30 mins and still no survivor/bandit seen we decided to call it a day and logged out. It seems all my good stories start with a chopper or end with us crashing in one.... .

Had this problem to. Do u use Steam aswell? cause i started steam up and started arma2. than reopened DayZ commander and just started all seemed to work

I think it has to do with the shadow effects or the lighting? Since lighting is diffrent in places and in what angle/time u are at . also maybe its the settings that have to do with them? Or something like barbed wire that got glitched in the skybox or anything that is causing it. Hope rocket can fix it in time. Im avoiding cherno for a while i guess.

I just putted the new files in @DayZ and use DayZcommander.. less work yet works aswell and DayZcommander is easyer to use and look for servers than Six launcher/Updater in my opinion.

Only seem to be having it near Cherno the kind of hotel like building with the signs ontop seems to give me heavy artifacts on screen

1 tip: download DayZ Commander it wont change ur files and its as good as the ingame launcher. All i can say. So if the problem keeps repeating its the files. Those files are constantly being put back to1.7.2.4. So its not only six launcher/updater but also arma launcher. Didnt know that. Anyways Have fun Playing DayZ again ;) Edit: I think its cause of the 1.7.2.5 is still in test fase atleast thats what rocket said: "Please do not grab this update, and then QQ because you can't find a server. Install to a new @dayz mod folder and use when servers become available" So everyone probably got the update already yet it is not fully released and the launchers might have problems with it. Source: http://dayzmod.com/f...rolling-update/ So i think the launcher is seeing it as a wrong version and think its updating it.. However its downgrading cause the update is still in testing phase. Unlike the DayZ commander it sees its a higher version and keeps it instead of thinking its "updating" a older version. Anyways glad it worked out for ya.

Its those files that keep messing up. might need to replace them again. Dont know if u use dayZ commander or still six launcher. If its still six launcher he will keep replacing those files with a older version. If its DayZ commander. at the top right cornor u got a button for more information. Will say stuff like arma2 up to date or out of date. And it says dayZ up/out of date. maybe update em trough there might work... Can take some time though. Edit: Try it a few times. If it all wont work try it on diffrent servers. If u have it on steam try cashe check on Arma 2 and Arma 2 arrow expansion. If nothing works i recommend to deinstall DayZ first and than fresh install it and see if that works, if not deinstall arma2 and the expansion aswell and reinstall the whole thing. If nothing works im out of idea's =/

Its not the servers its Six Launcher. Keeps putting you back to 1.7.2.4. Like i posted above. I had the same problem. Since i did those steps i said in my last post i have no problems no more what so ever.

Had the same problem. This worked for me. Download Dayz Commander. And get the last update from dayZ ( Can be found here: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/67383-hotfix-build-1725-rolling-update/ ) U do need torrent for it though. go to your DayZ files. Bought mine on steam so might be a diffrent location from yours. Will be a map in there somewhere called @dayz or something like that (Cant check it 100% cause dont have the computer at this moment) Say yes to all files. This will replace the older files for newer ones. Launch DayZ commander choose a server and have fun. Why use DayZ commander? Well it looks like Six launcher downgrades ur version. Current version is 1.7.2.5 and Six launcher puts u back to 1.7.2.4. If it works AWSOME HAVE FUN AND MIGHT SEE U IN GAME SOME TIME. if not u can contact me will try to help as much as i can. :P

Ever wondered how come everyone starts at the beach.. well heres a story i think it might have happend... Beans up if u like :P :D The name is Xardorian i became 23 april 21st.. I cant remember how long it has been since the military dropped me off with my squad to find any survivors on this forsaken part of the land... Even our commanding general said theres some f*cked up shit going on around here. We walked on the beach line trying to find a city to evacuate anyone left alive from this nightmarish grasp. We found a small village called Kamarovo surounded by Zeds. Thats the name they where given by the local survivors and soldiers. We started clearing our way in to see if there was any survivors. This is where it all started and went to hell quickly. We had to take cover on the roof of some sort of hangar. Our luitanant screamed: These things cant climb up laders can they! As this is my first actual contact with the zeds i had no idea what i was getting into. Our luitanant yelled at me asking for a medivac helicopter to take us out of there. Yet no respond from the radio or anyone from the base.Could they been over run? As the zeds came climbing up to the roof i got a signal of some local survivors having medical equipment and are on their way to our coordinates to pick us up. As the shooting stops and screams been heard all around me. i see the rooftop swarmed with Zeds and i fell off the roof on a small building bleeding to death and with a broken leg. I see everyone getting eaten alive... Right before i pass out i see a helicopter flying over me and asking if i needed medical attention. They got me in to the helicopter and landed in a safe spot to patch me up. They said they where taking me to stary sober where their base camp is set up. As we fly over what seems to be the shore line we hear a loud *bang* and our pilot starts to cough up blood and does not respond to anyone talking to him. I looked towards the tree line and see a group of bandits shooting at us. Those pesky bastards are all over the place trying to loot and kill everyone they see to survive on their own. As our helicopter comes pummeling down we crashed near the shore line as i am stuck inside of the helicopter i can see the bandits clearing the area taking everything they find and killing everything that moves. I passed out after the crash as they take my equipment and survival kit. Everyone i knew died that day and i alone made it out alive. all i got left is a bandage some painkillers and my flashlight.I have nothing to navigate or anything to protect myself with from any harm. IM LOST! in a place called Chernarus The Place Of The Running Dead. My name is Xardorian and this is the beginning of my story.

Hi there the name is Xardorian same goes for my ingame name. I like sneaking around Zeds instead of killing them, since they just humans trying to find their own way of life in this huge map. However i dont kill them alot i do defend myself if things get outa hand. The things i enjoy the most is helping people that are in need of help, and enjoy getting shot in the face while screaming friendly. So please continue the shooting part so everyone in this game will KoS and it will become more of a PvP shooter than a survival game ;)

What i wonder is: It says there been 10.000 bans or more and they working on the issues with hackers. I wonder if they did get all hackers or if there inocent people in it to. Since the game trusts client that gets in it might be easy for the hackers to bypass stuff like this and maybe let others get the blame on it. So honestly i doubt if its all "real" hackers

i got it trough steam to bought Arma II Combined Operations. Install those 2 than start them up to see if they work. Start Arma II Combined Operations if it all works than u can download DayZ and update it with the sixlauncher/Updater. Yet for me i had a problem with the serial key on steam and would not let me play DayZ. If thats the case u got to Right click Arma II in steam and get the validate cashe files. This fixed the problem for me. DayZ is one of the best ingame experience i had since mario or megaman 2 back in its days. 25 bucks for arma II and a mod thats in alpha and yet has so much fans and ofcourse a good game experience is rare for the prize its on. Hope this helps a bit. Edit: Also the stand alone is comming out and will cost some money. So if u want to buy the mod now with arma II its awsome. Yet keep it in consideration that they developing a Stand alone on it to and dont be one of those people who complains afterwards. ^_^ That would mean u bought Arma II for a free mod.

Ok its gonna be quite a story so i would recommend a drink and popcorn on this one :P My name was Xardorian and this is my story: I spawned at the coast line next to a small lighthouse. It was dark so could not see alot. I went up the lighthouse to navigate, and seen a small village closeby with what looked like a hangar. Slowly walking my way up there. Once inside the hangar i find some decent starting stuff like a: Hunting knife, hatchet, barbed wire, chem lights, beans and soda. Then i got called by bernd on skype actually scared the heck outa me >:( And this is where it actually all started and where it went to hell quickly. He asked what town i was at. Ofcourse i had no idea where i was since im new to the game (NOOB). He said go outside and look for a sign near the road. He hang up to help a patient as i made my way outside. Once near the sign i see im in a place called Kamarovo and went back to the building i came from and went up the ladder and layed down on some sort of metal rail. I told bernd on skype i was currently at Makarovo and he said to wait for them. Once i alt tabbed back into game i see zeds walking in the building like 8 to 10 of them. I than moved to the roof and asked bernd and his team if zeds can climb ladders. He answered no yet his friend answered some can. 3 mins after asking that i see zeds climbing up the ladder. Grabbed my hatchet and killed about 6 of them. When i looked down i see the whole place is swarmed with zeds and they all are around the building. i fought them off till i got over run and fell of the roof into the small entrance building next to it. By now i have around 7000 blood a broken leg and in shock. I stopped the bleeding and took pain killers but i was stuck there. So contacted bernd he said he was going to get backup and will come to help me. waited about 10 mins than seen a survivor run inside the building being followed by someone else. i thought they where friends first. Till i hear one saying he is friendly and hear 3 gunshots :| All zeds came running in the building. I got scared so i dced and waited for the medic team to arrive. within 5 mins i get a message saying they are on the way to come and help me and we meet in US1172 server. After looking like 10 mins for that damned server i logged in. As bernd calls me and they talking bout a bandit being near. the medical overwatch takes em down as they come fly near me and ask if i needed medical support. I applyed yes and i got into the chopper. Once landed they gave me a bloodbag and morfine to patch me up. After discussing where to drop me off we went to stary sober after picking up the sniper overwatch near the treeline. After flying a bit we seen a crashed heli. We went down they took down the zeds but all we found was a fall and no ammo. We went back into the chopper and flew on towards stary and see another crash site! We flew over there but our pilot had a lagg spike and got kicked from the server.... the medic team and myself pummled down in the helicopter and we all died during the crash ^_^ So we had some intense moments and some laughs. first time in a chopper or see a crash site and flying in a helicopter with wagners: flight of the valkyries music Made my day one of the most fun and exciting DayZ days ever. So for all who rescued me and died with my Thank you for all the fun i had yesterday with u guys. :D Best moment so far in DayZ
