I have played/enjoyed DayZ for years now, always being free. So dropping 30 bucks was not a problem at all. My only concern is I am not experiencing any real gameplay change from the old mod. Rocket claims to have rewritten everything, but I am not sensing that at all as I play the new SA (outside the new GUI/inventory/avatar clothing changes)...my fear is this thing is nothing more than a stripped apart ArmaII mod that is packaged up. :(

Most of us played a mod called Epoch. It was pretty bas ass. :D

There are 2 types of people - those that server hop, and those that lie and say they do not server hop. :D

Until you can set waypoints like dayzmod the ingame map is useless anyway. Just use the map provided on the web.

You could do it, it's possible. But a lot of voluntary action/roleplay would need to be involved. Sounds pretty stupid to be honest, but hey, someone people are into guns, other people are into...well..LOL

They are bored. Let's all be honest here, what else is there to do in the game atm once your geared (which is pathically easy)? lol

Great ideas and I think maybe you should head a team and build a new game. You could flesh out a lot of these ideas in a turn by turn based game to start with, just to make it easier to test the concepts etc :D Dayz is heading more down the lines to Call of Duty lol :(

X2 The only thing someone ever says to me is "GET DOWN OR I WILL SHOOT YOU" or they say nothoing and shoot me instantly lol I think in all my campaigns I have ran into one guy who was decent and we traded food for water etc. Server hoppers kill me the most. There is just no defense for it. Sucks. 2-3 guys spawning instantly right next to you lol :(

It would be completely different. X100 Agree 100% The ONLY time people would turn is when food got REALLY low. Watch the movie "The Road". One of my favorites and a GREAT answer to this topic.

Not against other players with high cal guns. Your gonna die hard and fast. Againts animals most certainly yes! Againts zombies, maybe. I still would prefer a 9mm in that situation! Againts humans with larger cal = no! :D
