Hi everyone. I've recently made a ticket here https://support.dayz...9262&c=t8wlUBDX about adding the Famas to the weapons list in DayZ. And i've been instructed to make a post in the suggestions to get some feedback so that the Devs can see the community feedback for this idea. The Famas linked here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FAMAS to wikipedia is a 5.56mm bullpup. Comes in a few variants. The major ones F1, G1 and G2 which are like versions, and a few slight variations like commando, SMG, sniper... Anyway the cool stuff : 5.56X19mm NATO rounds same as M4 and similar, fires 1, 3 or unlimited shots via a selector in front of the trigger for 1 or multiple shots or in between positions with is the safety On mode, and a selector on the pat for the unlimited setting with 3 and unlimited. Also fires various AVand AP 22mm rifle grenades to 75 and 100m direct mode for anti vehicle grenades and fires anti personal grenades via a tilting alidade at 45 degrees 120-340m and 74 degree 60-170 m. It has a sliding metla support ring for grenades on the barrel which is moved back and forward to set the distance to the target. If i remember correctly it has 11? settings and it's multiplied with the angle of the alidade. I kind of skipped that class :D or maybe too tired from all the marching to remember. Anyway I think it's a fairly cool weapon. more versatile that the Ak, on par with the M4/m4a1 types. Max range 300m, with scope up to 800m(gets you a precision shooter badge :) ) What do you guys think ? I'd sure like it in the game. I sort of miss it now that i'm not in the army.

3rd person view is a cheat in any FPS game. It allows a person to see around a corner while his entire body is behind the wall. It's not possible in real life, so it's a cheat. Since this is a warfare simulator and not a hack and slash adventure game it need to go...unless someone shows us a way to seeing 3RD person in REAL LIFE.

Get your fact straight. It's at best 300m with sights. Maybe 800 with a scope. I'm not even gonna spend time to argue with a troll like you. So like you said, go play your pc games while i go "play" at my real job in the army. Stop trolling you troll.

The Browning is cool. But the Mauser is like what 90% like the Lee Enfield look wise and almost the same bullet size and shape.

No, i'm not french. Served in the Foreign Legion. The Famas is flawed ?!! Hahaha And You'd better take the AK over it ? Out of the two the AK is the flawed one. It's got a max accurate range of 250m with a 7.62 while the famas does 300m with a smaller 5.56mm, which can be up to 400m with a M4A1 or whatever variation of that system. One can only imagine how lax the tolerance is in the AK barrel if if wobbles all over the place at 250m. Too bad it's a ex-sovi..blablabla bloc..bla bla..There's 8 ! EIGHT ! american weapons, and 7 ! SEVEN ! wait. S E V E N ! Sniepr rifle? WHen's enough enough? And O N E ! single bullpup weapon..which by the way some even want that removed cause it's got a thermal imager and it's quote "too realistic" .imagine that..like this game was a sim or something...the nerve some people have.. :D

Just in case some people like to change their mind but need motivation 1) Rubber buttpad 2) Removable stock 3) Cheek rest. Can be reversed for right or left-handed shooter. 4) Mobile assembly and ejection port 5) Pins 6) Bipod 7) Handguard 8) Charging Handle 9) Grenade launcher sight 10) Grenade support 11) Muzzle brake/22 mm rifle grenade launcher 12) Barrel 13) Fire control selector: Safety, semi automatic, automatic 14) Trigger 15) Magazine release 16) Magazine block (safety device) 17) Serial number 18) (right): 3-round burst or full automatic selector (left): Sling ring Yummy ! The Famas G2 with Felin system. It could be added to hely crash sites because French spec ops were investigating.and make it a very rare spawn item. And a bit of AP / AV 22mm grenade fun coudl be added to the mix...Again very rare spawn item.

No need to remove it. It's a real life military gear item...so it belongs in a military sim. Just make it use batteries that run out and are hardish to find. Simples.

Remove Fn Fal ? .....more like remove at least one of those 8 ! M4/M16s. Just plain ridiculous considering like 2 or 3 are just there cause they have silencers. if the silencer was a sepparate addon like in real life, and this was a simulator, then you could add a silencer to various weapons instead of having a clone of each weapon. There's also 2 MP5s : one normal one with silencer. We need to add the Famas, G36 and Steyr Aug. And the Five Seven pistol.

Having it in the game doesn't force anybody to play with it. Not having it in the game forces everyone not to play with it. How does it bother someone who voted no ? If you don't like it you have a choice to pick it up or not. If you like it but its missing your stuck with just one choice: not playing with it. Can't we just have some fairness ?

I see 4 people voted maybe. Care to give a reason. Liek i've said in the original post, i've made a ticket on the devs site and got a reply to start a topic here. So they can judge the reaction to adding the Famas.

Did i ask you anything ? Don't vote if it's too much mental strain for you. Take a hike. Besides there's an actual reason, but is far out there way beyond the reach of a kid ^ playing FPS games all his life. I've used it in real life. The utter useless bunch of M4/M16 weapons is just plain stupid considering they all look almost the same and have almost the same ballistics. I want in in the game cause i've used it IRL, the same as a lot of germans. More like about 200.000 germans from the beginning of it's foundation(Foreign Legion) up to today. Can't get a clear number as original source is missing.

8 M4/M16s and 4 AKs are normal ?

M4/M16 weapons which is like way too many. - 7 sniper rifles ( again more variation than probably needed) AND only one single bullpup rifle the L85A2 AWS . I mean It's the only one of it's kind and another bullpup would bee so much to ask ?!? But 8 M4/M16s and 4 AK aren't too much ? Come on...who's gonna use all 8 variations of M4/M16 ? The Famas ads a bit of diversity.

In real life the charging system is pretty well made and extremely easy to use. It's not the same as the handle that goes over it. I've used one. It's very handy, i can practicly cock it and hodl it in place with one hand while examinint the interior of the weapon(extractor/ejector assembly). There's absolutely 0% chance of cutting anything of with this weapon. Not to mention it has a anti-recoil system inside the pat, you can't even cut your eyebrow if you're looking too close into the sights !
