Hey, I would like to share the event my friend and I where in today. While hiking from black mountain towards north west airfield (both geared with akm's, I had 2 mags and my friend had 2 mags and a drum) we came across a lonely player in the woods, running towards us. He grabbed his mosin and started shooting, while sprinting and I mean sprinting not jogging. So we instantly grabbed our weapons, split up went for cover and took turns into firing, I shot him twice in the legs, he started bleeding and my friend emptied his drum mag on his tree, he got hit at least 8 times counting his blood spraying out of his body. But his gear still looked pristine, also a mosin only carry's 5 rounds in the clip and he kept shooting at one second intervals without reloading a single time, eventually he shot my friend in the head. Meanwhile I flanked around him saw the blood coming from the tree, and crawled closer, 20 seconds passed in the meantime and when I arrive at the tree, no one was there. Now he couldn't have logged out because the timer was 30 seconds, but lets give the benefit of the doubt and lets say he logged out, he could not have run away because he either had to cross a major open field in which I would see him, or come past me in the tree line. I waited for about 10 min to clear surrounding trees, went to my friends body, took his gear, since it was a head shot everything was still good. Out of curiosity, now loaded with 4 mags and a drum, I waited nearby behind a bush to see if the person would be stupid enough to log back in. No one showed up, at the moment I was about to move, something right of me caught my eye, it was that player, now coming from across the field, on his way to loot my already looted dead friend. I stayed still waited for him to loot the body, lowered my bipod, took aim (keep in mind I was only 10 meters away from him, he did not notice me) and opened up fire, I hit him multiple times in the back. He started running, I retook my aim and shot again, but in front of my eyes he popped away, like a ghost, gone. Instantly I got shot by a Mosen from the right of me and there he was, same guy, bleeding as hell. I broke my leg, reloaded a clip and shot at his chest (he was right next to me about 5 meters away). Multiple bullets landed his chest, he was now a walking fountain, his clothes still pristine. suddenly he popped back to my left and on my right another guy popped in with an akm, not logging in, popping in ready to shoot. I was bleeding, out of ammo (all went into that one guy) and before I got a final blow 3 more fully geared people with akm's popped next to the other guy, in an open field. They took aim and open fired, everything went black, I did not log out yet, they kept shooting for about a minute without reloading. My friend and I where live for about two weeks and we met our end by a group of hackers. I don't know about you guys, but in my opinion if you suck so much at a game that even in a group you need hacks to survive, it would be better to not play at all and let the people who enjoy the game enjoy the game. Some of you might say desync, but every one was at 0 desync. This was just a hacker with godmode, unlimited ammo, who teleported away, warned his friends and teleported back. First time ever in my playing time (over 320 hours) that I meet a hacker, but man it is lame as hell. What do you guys think? -
Resolution problems? Read here before posting!

This also fixes it, because for me the config file did not work for me. (in case the graphics resolution is not showing its screen max). options - user interface (UI) settings- set to max res (mine is 1920x1080) this will refresh the menu- back to start screen- options-video-graphic resolution to max again-fixed. In stable version it is best to not change the resolution or press default (this also means don't use the presets low to ultra because they change resolution) until they fix this. -

I find this a very good idea, I think the same think should be possible with burlap and rope.

I see where you are coming from, but remember that every shader in the game needs to have an extra empty texture applied to dynamically draw that spray texture over it. (you would have on the top layer empty spray slot, second layer the diffuse (color of the mesh) and then the normal/specular slots). Now imagine 100 playesr tagging allot of objects, it will eventually drop fps down, because of all the dynamic pixels the gpu has to take into accaunt and blend over the objects. But it would indeed be handy, people could start marking territory's or when Caves and underground systems are coming, tag place's they have been so they won't get lost.

I agree, this has been the definition for me since the mod and still is today, since the standalone more new player took up the word bandit as slang for every one who can pull a trigger on them. -
I agree, this would increase the tactic approach to a high loot area and would be a great diversion for confusion.

Dude stop hammering on him, I found his findings very interesting, so what if he hopped from an empty server, we are all guilty of it at least once and for these research purposes why not. -
The masks are a homage to payday and the developers agreed upon the masks being in game, sort of a friendly gesture. The reason I shoot people with masks, is because up until now, every single person I came across wearing a mask was either: A: a complete douche bag who loves to power-trip, B: some one trolling, C: not responding to conversation and trying to be that 'mysterious guy" who eventually shoot you in the back as soon as they find a weapon and last but not least D: They are bad camo, i see them hiding in bushes for an ambush, that purple just jumps out of the the colors and I shoot them before they try anything stupid.

Dude if they warn you tree fucking times don't throw the axe, and you throw the axe to a police officer, you got it coming to get shotted. The reason they missed so much is because they aimed at his legs for a non lethal shot! To note extra: the man running away had a knife and an axe and was threatening civilians, he threw both to the cops, they only started shooting the second throw. Also if you where a cop, would rather to a bat vs knife+axe combat with the risk getting seriously injured or would you like to be able to take the guy out from a safe distance, thus removing the risk of fatally injuring yourself? Think before you speak and do research on the subject.

Wasn't a craftable ghillie suit already confirmed together with the weapons ghillie? If I recall you would need burlap, rope and kindling for the ghillie suit (when they eventually implement it).

with camo suits I suppose you mean a Ghillie suit? These are already confirmed as craft-able items, burlap rope and kindling as far as I know, same goes for weapon camo (with plants).

Now hold on there, a class system is indeed over the top, we don't need that, but some parts have potential: for instance: When you run allot, you will increase your body's condition and won't get out of breath so fast (steady aim down sight), when you shoot guns allot you will have a better bullet group, this reflects to more things in real life, the more you do it the better you get at it. This however should be invisible (aka no skill list of perk list) and would add value to a long surviving character, thus preventing suicide, because suicide means all the skills you acquired by learning and repeating (during the survival of course) will be lost and have to be re-acquired.

Opening randomly doors at server starting

Ditto, if I enter a house with open doors, every door stays open and the ones inside who where closed, will be closed when leaving the building. Same goes for closed buildings, another person would not know I was there and I win time because he is gonna check every closed house which is stripped of loot. -

hidden Fake death animation?

If this was true, why did you not take a quick screen cap with steam (f12)? it would take less than a second and you could backup your story. -
Indeed, PIP is just a texture where a camera renders to (and basically your screen is to), so your graphics card would have to draw what you see twice, now imagen running at 22 fps, this would probably drop it to 15-16fps.

Every single piece of software for frame cap will drop your fps, because it takes a copy of the final rendered image, wich has to go trough the cpu, I use jackfrags setup for recording with DxTory https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw6YAoai8fQ&feature=kp Keep in mind never to record on your full screen size. youtube will reduce the quality anyway and a good encoder like adobe media encoder is always handy to keep the files nice and small. Al the rest is in the video.

I just wanted to point out this Reddit post for the non Reddit people, this guy has really has outdone him selves on the design an I really think the devs should consider looking at it. credits go to (also link to the original Reddit tread): DayZ UI and Mechanic Suggestions by joeyslucky22 Click here for the design images. They look really professional and should fit right in with the current dayZ systems.

Sneaky little bandies, to young to setup a good scheme and they screw it up even more haha. As there is one thing I trust even less then people with guns, then it is people who do not communicate or are standing close to each other silently and after a few obvious minutes that they are in contact somehow try to pretend they don't know each other :p.

Definitely KO for me, it is a survival game after all (which seems to skip the mind of allot of the player base) so why would I give up the instance I get knocked down?
