So testing the ruger, it is not a super powerful gun at all. takes 2 head shots on zeds. It's as expected as it is a .22. It should be nice for quiet hunting without getting caught when animals come out though. It is VERY quiet. You can barely hear the shot standing right next to it, compared to other guns. I did run into a glitch about every 8 or 9 shots when the bullet shell wouldn't disappear and i had to manually eject it and reload another (jammed gun? lol) but all in all I like it. I'm not sure if you're supposed to be able to spray paint it yet either. It lets you put the can on it and goes through the animation to paint but it doesn't paint it at all. I'll be reporting these things. -

If it didn't come out today they will just add more in when they do patch stable. I would just chill. It will be here. In the mean time, I've already scored a ruger on the exp :D Does anyone have a side by side comparison of what exactly changed? I know I saw someone do that a few other times. -

I like all these ideas because both solo and with a group, space limitations sort of causes you to kind of select a role. Sure, you've got a mosin with a LR scope, some medical supplies and some decent clothing, but you could also be the self-appointed 'chef' for your group, responsible for keeping the meals coming. -

I think they should add potato plants and some other nutritional stuff that you would see in a typical backyard garden. Once they get more persistence coding down, have them take time to grow. I can imagine having my crappy little storage hidden out in the woods with a campfire and a few plants for harvesting some nutritional food. Obviously these could be harvested by anyone who happened to pass by, making placement key to preventing someone from raiding your stash. Just an idea there. I know they've discussed having semi-permanent passives that your character could acquire that are lost on death. Maybe you could get better at planting/harvesting/cooking stuff as you go along. I think this would be pretty cool, but obviously you wouldn't wanted to focus on it TOO much, as there are far more elements to the game that could be focused on. Maybe make getting there, gathering all the supplies needed, be somewhat of a harder goal for an individual to meet, bringing more people together in an effort to creating sustainable nutrition. -

I got together with a couple of random guys a few days ago. I ran with them for a couple of hours through a few cities. After I had to leave, I gave them everything useful I had and wished them luck. I too, tend to see friendlier people on the experimental servers in my experiences. I think it may be partly because everyone there is just there to see and try the new stuff, so people are a little more careful about getting into firefights.

I vote just make it like the Taviana map and have some higher elevation with snowy mountains. then maybe put in some random snowing (gradual, not all of the sudden) as part of the weather. The game already looks spring/summer/fall-ish in parts of the map anyway, in my opinion.

I've only seen one, and they were doing this exact same type of shit. Thankfully they killed others while I slipped away/ran my ass off. Yes, even 1 hacker impacts a lot in this type of game. I remember 1 single hacker on DayZ Origins, after playing for nearly 6 months, completely fucked my entire group over and then blew up everyone and every vehicle on the server. It's childish and moronic to even have a want to do that kind of shit. I'm thankful there aren't many, but i'd like it even more if there were none at all. -

Not too long ago I followed 2 guys for the length of probably 20 km, staying about 200-300 meters behind them the whole time. I did this just to test my stealth. They never saw me once :) Every time they went to turn around I hid in a bush or behind a tree or on the other side of a house/building. It is amazing how oblivious some people are. All they had to do was turn around or look over their shoulder and be smart about their travelling, but no. They were lazy and clueless. Running only along the road, across fields, being very loud on direct chat. At one point, I went to sneak up to the door of a house. They came running out of it and I put myself against the wall right next to the door as they ran out. They ran right past me without even seeing me haha! It was hilarious and so easy. :lol: I eventually killed them both with a surprise axe attack when they came down the stairs of a building :P -

Well Hicks said they were working on getting ready to put up the new experimental build once they push the current one to stable, so I suspect they're setting it up and getting it ready for tomorrow. I've seen them do this before. they have a couple up to test them first and then release to exp some time after. It is quite a jump in number. Now whether that means quite a bit more is added or not is yet to be seen. Patience my friends, it's coming :) -

I guess i'm a bit like you then. I'll team with anyone so long as it involves an adventure. My general rule is, if I'm grouping with you, I expect you to have my back like I've got yours. Move as a unit and be tactical about your decisions when you can be. -

I don't personally see anything wrong with being a bandit. And by the game's standards, there isn't anything wrong with it either. Because if it weren't intended, it wouldn't be in the fucking game. I've been a bandit for a long time in the mod and in SA both. Lately I've gone more the 'hero' role though. But i'll friendly up with both hero's and bandits both, in part because of what you say: the game is grey. Still, have no problem with banditry at all. It is part of the game and it can really suck sometimes, so learn to play better and make better decisions. It's really that fucking simple. It doesn't matter how many people complain or scoff at the fact that bandits kill people, it won't change anything at all. Most complaining are probably butthurt that they got ganked. I've been killed plenty of times. It sucks, but so what? I'm not on here complaining it's because the bandit is "bad at the game". That's obviously just someone who wants to lash out about their loss. My advice would be to not pay any attention to it it all really. Let them whine it out like they need to. -

I've picked up a couple of these while running through that forest myself. I think they need more spawns like this. It really freaked me out. It may be a while before they have optimized the game for more spawns like this, but I like it. Keeps you on your toes! -

I'd make use of it as an odd spawn. I think they should throw some common irregular firearms into the game just for the sake of being more realistic. Sure, they may not be ideal, but sometimes that's what you'd find laying around a house. -

You've obviously never been in close proximity to hipsters. You'll know that you're receiving radiation poisoning when you see them.
