I personally think that is a hell of a lot of progress that we'll be seeing relatively soon. I really liked the dev blog and the tour of the office videos. Really cool stuff. :)

Posting the exact same shit I did in the Patch thread, because people apparently don't know how to read. Dean isn't leaving anytime soon. Not hating here, but just a suggestion. I like that these are done, but maybe go into the experimental build and capture some of this stuff in the video to show off when you make them? You could easily do commentary first, then go into the game and record some footage. I know you might not be able to show everything, but probably at least half of it if you tried. Again, I like what you go over, but as a viewer I would just like to see more :) -

Sewing kits can only repair certain types of clothing. Although, I don't see why it couldn't fix a rider's leather jacket. It seems liek you would be able to do this with a needle and thread. Maybe they will add repair kits for different types of stuff. -

I agree that melee needs some work. I think they will probably tweak that coming up. Until then, I can do some pretty nasty running hits to take care of zeds. I don;t think it's impossible right now to get rid of them, but it does take work. Still, I largely agree with you. It does need work. -

I don't think it sucks at all. Zeds are huge pussies at the moment. Strengthening them and making them higher in numbers + respawning should prove to make the game a little more difficult. Take that mixed with improved pathing and responding to gunfire properly and you'll think twice about firing your guns all over town. I'm pumped! -

Rocket already said they are working on zeds/loot respawning. Even if it isn't out on experimental this week, we should know that it IS coming. Just be patient. They are focusing on a lot of stuff at once and will get it done in the most efficient order they can. The good news is that those items ARE coming, and very soon by the sound of it. -

Pretty much this. I was on a 100 man server a few weeks back. It took me 15 minutes to get to a town untouched by anyone and I was fully geared 10 minutes after that. People raiding the coastal cities on a server that big after restart is usually a really dumb-assed idea. There are PLENTY of towns to loot that will get you geared better than most anyone else who tries for coastal cities. After getting geared I moved to a couple of towns closer to the coast. Low and behold I was the 'badass with a gun' because all that was left were crappy clothes and no weapons for every other player I ran into. I'm not directing this to you specifically DemonGroover, but to everyone else. SPEND THE EXTRA 10 MINUTES AND MOVE TO AN INLAND TOWN TO LOOT! YOU WILL GET BETTER RESULTS! Edit: I also liked the 100 player server. Was a hell of a lot of fun and you're forced to interact more. Met some dicks, but also some really cool people that I ended up teaming with. -

I use a bottle of my wife's fingernail polish and set it on the W key. In the past, i've used stacks of coins, a small hammer, a piece of tape and a dum dum sucker with a phone on top of it haha! -
Yep. It takes more balls to put yourself in that scenario than to just shoot, but I've come out of it unharmed more times than I've been harmed. I always approach saying the same shit every time "Look this doesn't have to end badly for anyone at all. Just chill and hear me out." Then go on with what I've got to say or propose. You'd be surprised at how many people will actually listen to you if you get the jump on them and explain yourself. I've been both a bandit and a 'hero' or whatever you want to call it. If i'm rolling 'good guy' I never rob people, but propose a trade, tell them what I need and ask if they are willing to trade off. If things go well, you can escalate that into a 'let's team up' interaction. If they don't want to, no worries and I have respect for that. Wish them luck and be on your way. In the times I do get people to team up, it's weird because in my experiences, it's seemed automatic that you'll go to bat for that other person no matter what. I get that real sense of 'we've got each others backs, fuck everyone else'. It's quite nice when it works out, and no one can contend that 2 or more people together aren't stronger than just 1 person. It's just a fact: Teaming up buys you some security and you will live longer. Plus, like I said, you have the opportunity to meet some pretty cool people out there.

I'd prefer their not be much of a distinguishing factor, and let the community sort it out to a degree. I see people bitching and moaning about being shot on sight all the time. Hell, even I prepare myself for it in any situation. You're dumb not to, but it's up to the players to determine that based on the encounter. I've met some really cool people in the game already based on some what would otherwise be bloody shootouts. I've been in a few situations where both of us had our guns drawn on one another, barking orders, and decided not to fire. It does happen. I don't want that element of surprise to be taken away. I like the game the way it is. Being a bandit is easy. It's easier when you find other bandits to team with. The same goes for Anti-KoSers. You need to have that moment to make a choice.
