Weapons: You can get guns in barns, or military buildings .. also tree stands .. see www.dayzdb.com the axe is very good if you cant seem to fun a gun. Just pick it up and press R to reload it (i know, it's weird, but it works) Zombies: If they see you, run through trees, zig zagging, or just run in a building and out the other door (if it has one) this will usually shake them long enough. If not, run through more houses. Zombies slow down when you go into buildings. in the daytime, youll mostly be doing a lot of prone sneaking, i would suggest trying a night server, which will provide you with better stealth, but it is of course .. harder to see. Spawning: if you die, simply hit esc, abort, disconnect back to the lobby (where you see the players on the right column) then reconnect. dont back the whole way out to the main menu or anything like that. I just logged onto our old home server, and our tents are there again, but no ATV .. i guess i should have thought about doing that sooner. I'm assuming the ATV was stolen, just because it wasn't hidden that well and was close to NWAF lol. But yeah, must be a server bug.

Ok, so I've been playing DayZ for about a week and a half. Recently I was playing on a GB server, found an ATV, fixed it up, took it back to my camp. I play on the server for a few days, and one day I log on and the ATV and 2 tents i had setup have mysteriously vanished without a trace. Thinking it was a bug with 1.7.2.5, or bandits, I switch servers. I have been playing on a US server now, and found a few vehicles, so a friend and I have been stockpiling a few vehicles and a tent up north of the vehicles. Everything has been fine, and the vehicles have lasted through about 4 server restarts a day, for 3 days. The server is fairly low pop throughout the day, only a few people, and sometimes it spikes up to 8, but doesn't usually pass 8. Today, I get on the server, login at camp, and the vehicles are gone, and the tent is nowhere to be found. I'm having a really hard time determining whether this is a bug that the vehicles/tent are disappearing, or people are just finding my camps and stealing my vehicles and running over my tents. Does anyone have some input on this subject? Like i said, fairly new player and not sure if it's a server bug or just really bad luck. :(

I recently purchased Arma 2 Combined Ops on Steam. I have been playing on official servers via DayZ Commander, and was wondering which beta patch build i should go with. I noticed that some run 95417 and some run 95663 (which i cant find the beta patch for, but 95660 seems to work for those). Today, there was a 95724 release, but I'm afraid that i wont be able to play on any servers until the servers update to this version. Sorry if this all seems confusing, but I'm extremely confused myself. For example, can i join a server that runs 95417 if i am patched to 95660?
