    Need perfect guide for Optimazation

I was a bit worried it stopped working and started kicking people. I find I get a bit of FPS stuttering myself, especially when zooming in.

Hello Adas. You could hit up this page here to edit your config files: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/40357-does-your-dayz-or-arma2-run-slow-easy-solution-inside/ Could smooth out performance a bit.
  3. Alrighty buddy. Let us know how it goes just for future reference if any others are getting the same issue. Thanks man.

Ok, well, there are a few more things we can try here folks. It could be that BattEye isn't starting properly or still being interrupted by *something* installed or a process running. Here are a few more suggestions: Enabling Secondary Logon. Windows secondary logon allows administrators to log on with a non-administrative account and still be able to perform administrative tasks. This means that it will allow BattlEye to run on admin accounts where local permissions are screwy. Windows Press Windows Key + R. Type services.msc into the run window. Click OK. In the Name column, locate and right-click Secondary Logon. Select Properties from the contextual menu. Under the Startup Type dropdown menu, select Automatic. Click OK. Next, we should probably consider making a new user account altogether in Windows if it still isn't starting properly: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ie/windows7/create-a-user-account Make sure you give it admin rights aswell, then just relog, run Arma2 and OA through steam once each, then shut down the client and try to join another server. Hope this helps some folks.
  5. Hey Kosugi, thanks for the reply dude. I took a look at the log files on dropbox. There are no out of date scripts loaded at all. These are the most common cause of the errors, when a patch is deployed and something doesn't update like it should. Aside from this, the best thing you can do is to some driver updates or fish the sites below for Beta ones. http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/auto_detect.aspx This is if it's an AMD/ Radeon http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx This is if it's an nVidia one Whichever is relevant to your system in any case. As for file consistency, do a quick defrag of the HDD, use Steam to check for file consistency aswell: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335 Good luck with it man.

Honestly? Whilst I can't really speak on behalf of Symantec, Norton is probably one of if not the most obnoxiously horrid AV software you could install on your system. The ironic thing is that Symantec Business Av is wonderful. Just uninstall Norton and download Kaspersky instead. It will save you plenty of headaches in the future. We shouldn't really be telling people how to troubleshoot Norton here, it's not really within the scope of Dayz and it's not great practice, since people will begin to keep expecting us to.
  7. Hello Mays. Dunno if you've tried this already, but check this out: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/40357-does-your-dayz-or-arma2-run-slow-easy-solution-inside/ Some folks are reporting dramatic improvements, but as is, it's essentially ARMA2 being itself. Tis poorly optimized.

    Lag on high population servers

Snagged from this thread: http://dayzmod.com/f...olution-inside/ Could be a big help before jumping the gun and upgrading your system. In most cases, it's not because you have a slow system, it's because Bohemia's engine is pretty poorly optimized.
  9. Ta orlok, thanks for reminding me :)

To clear an event log by using Event Viewer Start Event Viewer. In the console tree, navigate to the event log you want to clear. On the Action menu, click Clear Log . You can either clear the event log or save a copy of the event log and then clear it. To clear the event log without saving: Click Clear . Try that one dude, to start Event viewer just type it into the Search bar. It's worth noting aswell that if your event log is massive, you're probably getting a craptonne of errors in other programs too dude.

Hey dude. Click on the Start menu, go to Search, type %temp% and literally delete everything in that folder, it'll cut the MSINFO file down to a size that can be saved.
  12. Hello Kosugi. Any chance you can put the crash reports into your replies? They'd pretty much point to the stack trace that contains whatever .dll file is crashing your client. Here's where they're located: The arma2.rpt, arma2.bidmp and arma2.mdmp files are located in your -profiles root directory, or if used without this parameter then it can be found in these default locations: %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\ArmA %userprofile%\AppData\Local\ArmA

    Random blue screen of death??

Hey Jibba. Try using this here: http://www.cpuid.com.../hwmonitor.html Pretty nifty tool for gauging the temps of the CPU and the GPU whilst ArmaII is running. It also shows fan speed. What you also might need to do is check to make sure you have the latest graphics card drivers: http://support.amd.c...uto_detect.aspx This is if it's an AMD/ Radeon http://www.nvidia.co...nload/Scan.aspx This is if it's an nVidia one Even if they're up to date, it might be a good idea to grab a Beta driver from the site, since both Hybrid and Optimus tech are known to crash systems when switching from whatever crappy intel card is on the Mobo to the dedicated card. You might also want to check for RAM errors buddy: http://www.mersenne.org/ftp_root/gimps/p95v263.zip Prime95 is the best thing for this, though be warned, it's a long scan and can take several hours.

Heya guys. Let me try to shed a little light on this. Anything that pauses the process of the game will look like a cheat engine to BattlEye, so it's likely some process that's interfering with the game client or BattlEye itself. These can include but are not limited to: Antivirus software. Streaming software/ twitch.tv IO data transfer (This is generally only if Arma is NOT installed on C or you have corrupt data clusters on the hard drive.) Memory issues. Things you can do to attempt to fix it: Uninstall any streaming software you're using. Uninstall any Antivirus that you do not need (many folks have a shell of some outdated AV on their system on top of whatever they're using) Defragment your hard disk (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ie/windows-vista/improve-performance-by-defragmenting-your-hard-disk) Run a PRIME95 test to check for bad memory sectors (http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=132819) If this still doesn't work, post your MSINFO file here and we'll see what's hogging the system: Press Windows Key + R. Type MSInfo32 and press Enter. In the MSInfo diagnostic window, click File, then Export. When the Export As window appears, choose Desktop. Name the file "MSInfo" and click Save.
