DayZ stands out because it is hard and unforgiving. The second the devs give in to carebares and CoD Kiddies the game is over. You don't like being one hit killed? Stop running across an open field at mid day. Stop running at a sniper nest down the street giving "covering fire" with a pistol. And STOP trying to change the game to suite your shitty play style! -

I've been capping military zeds in the hope of getting a radio. Without it, Green Mountain is just a bit creepy. Graphical glitches make things pop up in the corner of your eye which makes it worse... Well I THINK they are glitches. Risk is high and the reward is VERY low. The site spawns an ungodly amount of zeds... or sometimes none at all. It is ether crawling or grave quite. However, you are very exposed on the tower and you are sniper bait... Not that any bandits hang around there. With the radio... it is said the tower will talk to you.

If you're in Cherno you don't really have any cool gear and should just respawn. If you're in Cherno and you DO have good gear, you're a newbie stomping scumbag and deserve to die cold and alone. But I digress. 1) Vehicles will not be in the same place on a different server. 2) Vehicles will move back to their spawn points when the server restarts (usually 6 hours). 3) Unless you take it all the way to the arse end of nowhere, someone WILL find it and take it. -

It's an OP POS... BUT I think is should stay. It's a holy grail. Something end-game characters still wish for. When the duping and cornucopia clips are fixed, it's numbers can be regulated. At the end of the day, it's better then the other sniper rifles... and the sniper rifles are better then the iron site stuff the new characters have. Yet you have NO problem shooting them from 500m away. -
As long as it doesn't fuck up camo and backpacks like it did before I don't think I care. I don't PK unless I have to so I won't get it very often, but I'll be pissed if I defend myself and my camo and Alice pack full of goodies goes "poof!"

The Winchester isn't in ARMA II (well I've not seen it) and was most likely added to DayZ as a homage to a certain zombie film. Therefore it's a bit hacked in.

Being able to fill your empty canteens with sea water. They look the same as fresh water bottles but make you even more thirsty when you drink them. Just a little trap for new players, or a little trolling device for players to hide in loot piles or on themselves as a final "f**k you" for anyone who kills them and loots their corpse. A silly idea but it tickled me.

Well dur. That's the point. Before a patch it was possible to fill the bottles with sea water and drink it. It's something new players always tried but it's stupid to do in real life. It's a little trap not for being new, but for being stupid.
