Been playing a month and I only shot one person, and that was at the start when I was a lot more jumpy. If you have to "defend yourself" that much you're clearly looking for trouble.

Can you get banned for using a custom skin?

Some servers will boot you if you have a custom skin, however there are many in game skins (and glasses) you can use without fear if you edit a text file in "my documents." That's how players make themselves black or give themselves face-paint. -
Oh boo hoo, you don't always find NV goggles or 50 cal rifles at the barracks. There's already too much high power gear floating around due to the fact players don't discard epic loot. If you want to play with the big guns straight away, play ARMA II.

It happens to everyone, chill the fuck out. When it happened to me I had a tonne of end game gear. I was pissed for a few seconds before I remembered I was actually really bored. Activating hard mode was fun. Within 2 hours I had an Alice pack, a shotgun and a CZ 550 while desperately trying to find food. It's a alpha build of a mod. If you're looking for a polished product you'll have to wait for the final stand alone or just shut the fuck up and enjoy yourself. -

I don't kill, but then I don't try to make friends ether. I play DayZ as a stealth game and it's done me good so far. Other players are things to tip toe around and maybe scare now and again with a shot over their head or spooky direct voice chat. -

Well on the rare occasion someone survives a shot to the head, most of the time they probably wish they had died. Being shot in the face by any caliber is really going to ruin your day.

I think they are already getting bored. Claiming that you made a hack for DayZ is akin to proudly saying you managed go the whole day without pissing yourself. They don't bother. That just leves the skiddies trying to feel powerful by annoying strangers. But now the veterans don't get mad. They just roll their eyes and call him a faggot and move servers.

Rocket has said he likes the "more cars less fuel" idea and it makes sense. Carrying around a rare jerry can is more viable then finding and hiding server specific cars.

Unless it's skiddies working out their daddy issues on random strangers, if you Alt-f4 you're not playing the game. You're the kind of sissy that covers their eyes at the scary parts of horror movies. What's the point? If you Alt-f4 when the crap impacts the cooling device you're just playing nothing but a jogging and junk collecting simulator. -
It always amuses me that people make these "LEVIN 4 EVA!" posts as the very first one they make. Like they are some gaming messiah and their living is some Earth moving news, instead of a complete fucking nobody that no one gives a shit about. The response is "don't let the door hit your arse on the why out" so why do you do it? You are no one. We don't care. We will not miss some whiny cunt who signs his posts.
