So yesterday I whiped my computer and upgraded from vista to Windows 7. After updating my graphics card driver (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti) I tried playing DayZ. I'm lucky to get 25 fps on low settings when before switching to windows 7 i used to get about 60 fps on high settings. Anyone have any idea what could be up? Please Help!

Just make sure your character is IN GAME when you do this.

open up your DayZ and hop onto a server, alt-tab out, ctrl-alt-delete, hit the processes tab and end the Arma 2 process. By doing this the game should spawn you on the coast next time you log on. This feature was made to keep people from combat logging, but could work for you too.

I'm surprised that more people haven't commented on this post, and I think this would be an awesome way to fix the damage system for player vs player combat, without making certain weapons too powerful. Kudos to you, you sir now have my beans.

Yeah, we have saved countless times but it still doesn't help. Maybe it's different for every server? Does anyone know if some servers have a better memory for vehicles and tents then others? I don't see why they would, but who knows... getting really annoying and making the game pointless to play until this is fixed.

First off, I want to say i play in a group of 4 people, and we absolutely LOVE this game, and the tactical aspect of it. At the moment, we are looking for more vehicles and car parts, as owning a vehicle makes the game 10 times faster and more enjoyable then running everywhere. That being said, every time we get a vehicle (we have found A LOT), next server restart it ends up disappearing anyways. Also, our tents we put all of our gear in (a bunch of gear we value, like NVGs, and rare guns) also disappear when the server restarts, leaving us with only the items on our backs. This takes the joy and motivation to look for vehicles, if they are going to disappear in a few hours anyways. Without vehicles, the game isn't nearly as enjoyable and really, even over hackers, i think this problem should be the first priority because anyone who plays the game and spends time getting gear and vehicles, is only rewarded with it being taken away. I have recently been trying to update arma 2 with dayz commander, and the update skips straight to 100% and says complete, but the update is not applied to the game? I have tried about 40 times now and it still hasn't worked. I uninstalled dayz commander and the game and reinstalled and it still doesn't work. Please help!!!
