No worries, when I was admin on the panthera server we were talking with players constantly, we even restarted server and gave players the gear they preferred to start with, we had days where we started with nothing but with panthera we had 4 airfields we all used to fight over so it was a challenge and a good laugh, hope you find a server that suits you and ur mates it’s a great game when you have a decent community around you

I had a server back in the mod days on panthera and if we had a suspected hacked I would check logs and ban said hacker if I could prove it through logs, not only that but I would give it character their gear back if they lost it by dying from walking up stairs or whatever, either way get in touch with admin of ur server they should help you mate if not find a server with friendly admins you will find a server you can call home, I’ve played servers where admins are like strangers and played servers where admins are there to help, find the latter and your set for life, good luck friend and hope ur bad experience doesn’t put you off, dayz is a great game with the right ppl around you

I played the mod when we all could interact with dean on this forum and give opinions which were actually considered and put into game, I was here when he left and the dev team changed up and continued the work, I’m still here and so are the devs, this coulda been left as a release over a yr ago but no were still here getting updates, it’s not finished and it’s better than it was back then, we still got a ways to go but the devs are still here with us, because we still have devs working at it listening to constructive feedback tells me this is gonna be the game we all wanted from the mod we started with, patience my friends, all will be revealed, and a happy new year

Have you tried verifying file integrity through steam in steam library right click dayz, verify file integrity should download any files that are missing, restart steam and try load game again

Offline mode isn’t priority atm, we got up to date updates waiting to be fixed, sucks I know but if ur needing a working offline to test mods n scripts only thing I can think of is reverting windows to a week ago so you get the dayz version that was working with it

The graininess was my monitor cable and wasn’t showing up in my screenshots they look clear, my new one is perfect picture now, who is trying to exploit gamma through out of game settings?

This is indoors in 1st person with headtorch on my head light is coming from above the house here, so atm I’d say spawning with a flashlight would be better than head torch as there still work to be done, but can’t complain with all the work that’s gone into the new engine there’s more positives than negatives and it’s getting better with every update

I’ve just spawned in pitch blackness and my screen seems grainy like the movie effects on alien isolation, don’t know if I have a loose monitor cable or my settings changed, gonna try a daytime server see what the picture looks like

I’ve just checked iZurvive app and received an update but I can’t be sure if they have correct spawns yet i will have to look around the different spots and let you know if I find any in the locations they say they are

I think until a dev answers you could disable shadows etc in game settings if you need the fps, just to be safe

This is why we should spawn with a flashlight and battery like we used to, we start needing food and drink but it’s impossible to find without a light source at night and it’s hard to craft torches when you can’t see, flashlight at spawn would solve this

In the server list you can click the star nxt to server name to save to favourites, probably worth writing down what server you have tents/stashes on so you don’t forget

When you go to join a server there is a little icon showing a sun or moon type sign that is to show wether the server is on night or day, also the time is speeded up so it won’t take too long to change from night to day if you wait

They are undoubtedly working on a fix right now but it would be appreciated if we could get a revert back to last working patch while we wait pls devs

go into control panel on pc and set icon and text size to 100% should be medium

Would it be possible to remove the gamma and brightness settings from the options, i always loved the atmosphere at night but running through trees i thought i was stuck in a bush and had to change my gamma up to see my way through the woods but then i kept it on so i could see inside buildings for loot, i liked it better when i had to use the flashlight and im too weak to change it back, make me a better person please i used to frown at people who did this, now im one of them, shame on me, shame on all of us :facepalm:

Yeah Shandrew82 your right about the brightness i didnt think about that, some eople may need to turn it up or down depending what monitor/tv they have, the gamma isnt necessary though i think. I only suggested it as its a complaint ive seen quite a few times and i think anything that can be done to make the game even for everyone should be done as soon as possible
