Did u just install Arma2 and Arma2oa? then DayZ. If you have PMC/BAF like i did i had to uninstall the dlc's and then install ONLY Arma2 and Arma2oa to work DayZ. Once DayZ is working you can then install PMC and BAF.

Keep trying, if its happening to other people when picking up chemlights the admin should see whats happening sooner or later and figure it out. Or like others have said put the server name in the title of this post, or in a comment on this post i'll join the server and let the admin know

Did you remember to put @dayz in the arma2oa command file? Should be in C:/programme files/steam/steamapps/common You may need to add @DayZ to the command file, i had this happen twice before after updating to newest DayZ patch. See DayZ installation wiki for full instructions. If your still having trouble go into settings in DayZ Commander and tick the box that says replace original files with Beta so steam works to see if that helps. If not untick that AND the launch using steam box, mine seems to work better like that although i have no steam overlay to take screenshots i can play the fekn game this way. In my steam library i still have the Arma2oa Beta to install, maybe thats why i cant launch using steam but honestly once you have checked file integrity of Arma 2 and Arma 2oa and ran both games to the menu, DayZ commander can do the rest

My old PC would run ok if i set video memory to high, most of the parts in it were 8yr old it had intel core 2 duo processor on an old mobo and the gfx card was the only newish thing in it Nvidia 630 My brother was running it great with video memory set to default and normal settings His was an intel celeron processor (2 cores) G540 on a Gigabyte H61M - DS2 mobo which i know cost less than £130 for both, but there have been people with amazing setups that still have trouble. Dont know exactly what it is with the video memory but when i set mine to default (with my old PC) even on low settings it was only good for 5 minutes max. I think if you have more than 512mb of Vram on your video card set it to default, if its only a cheap card like mine was it worked better set to high. Don't be/be scared to play about with the settings to see what works for you, heard one guys PC caught fire after playing a few hours so im not gonna commit to this bit

if you go into task manager (ctrl alt del) click show processes from all users and set arma2oa priority to high, hopefully that might help

Went back to public hive today, logged in my character was on day 90. Lasted 40 minutes before a hacker killed the whole server.

If your not sure on overclocking i wouldnt try it, if its a temp problem overclocking anything will raise the temperature and if the gfx card gets damaged by heat it cant be undone. I had a similar problem my PSU had dust inside dust like 3 inches thick, had to remove the fan guard and clean it all out, make sure to have a good look around the computer for dust

Your resolution and 3D resolution should be set to the same values, that will clear up some of the blur in the picture. Have you tried going into task manager and setting arma2oa priority to high that might help.

Change video memory to default, disable postprocess effects and make your 3D resolution the same as the resolution above. The main problem by the looks of your settings is the video memory should be set to default. Hope it works

Fear not DayZinian i found the fix, however it does not involve cowering amongst trees. I found that a good "jesus what the the fuck is that" followed by a half a mag of uncontrolled Mk48 Mod rounds in the general direction of the beast will calm most situations.

Still December for the standalone but there's no release date, we got another drink and food icon apparently for the dog, but theres no dogs yet still some things to be worked on hopefully ready to inject for 1.7.4.5. Private hives seem to be the best place to go if you want less hackers but there's still some there, new maps are good though i would'nt recommend vilayer i think they've had troubles recently. Probably best to check youtube for good maps or servers to check out, enjoy Make loves, not Warz

Cleaned the dust out of my PSU and that stopped it heating up and increased my fps, check for any dust in and behind the fan. My new i5 3450 is no problem but my older processor would only run smooth with video memory set to high, defult was good for 2 minutes then it would lag and my backpack would turn square shaped and sometimes my head would disappear with the hat still there. Also if you ctrl alt del and go in task manager, go to processes and click show processes from all users then set arma2 oa priority to high, hope something helps for you man it can be a bitch to run at times

I know, that was for the OP and any others who want a less hardcore experience they can pay to rent servers and set it up like that if they pay for it they should be able to do that. Would fekn ruin the game for the rest of us if all servers did that

I think you should choose bandit or survivor when you start like with the gender and you get the bandit or surviver skin from day 0, no messing about. Another way would be to have certain servers where bandits can only kill survivors and survivors can only kill bandits, then if a surivory looking bandit shoots at you he's just wasting ammo and attracting real bandits Yeah probably should have said this option could be used on some private servers for the people who want that type of gameplay, should have to call it something else though because thats not DayZ

You get the hero skin at 5000 humanity, yes you can get it on a private hive and you may or may not start with 2500 depending which server your on (private hives can set their own levels and such). Also the hero skin is like the camo suit, it acts like body armour if your hit with 9mm's

Yeah ive had no problems with it DayZ and Arma2 work great. resolution is your screen size its the top right hand 2 slots when u open up video settings in-game, these should match.

? you shouldnt be having any problems Mine is i5 3450 3.10GHz ASRock Z77 pro 3 Nvidia Gtx 650 1gb 8GB corsair vengance Windows 7 Im having no problems running most of my settings high and the gtx 650 isnt that good, even vsync is on with no extra lag i think because of my motherboards Virtu MVP. What do your in game video settings look like, do you have video memory set to default? What HDD do you have and how much space is available? What power supply are you using?
