  1. People still going barking mad about how we don't have anything? I couldn't have been the only one that LOST excitement because of the E3 interviews and gameplay...was I?

    DayZ Mod 1.7.7 Patch

Oh it's a zombie apocalypse that means I should be able to find some leather to make some armor. That way I won't get bit as easy, right? Wait you mean I can't do that? Oh and I didn't know zombies were able to hit past a wall into a building. When the real apocalypse comes around do you think I should prepare for zombies AND ghosts?

    DayZ Mod 1.7.7 Patch

Haven't posted in a while but felt like this update was important. I am assuming with this update's release that zombies are almost impossible to get correct in this engine. Zombies have never worked appropriately, and it doesn't look like they ever will. The majority of 1.7.7s problems stem from the fact that you guys are trying to make a zombie out of something that is technologically unable to be a zombie. Someone prove me wrong, I am no coder, I won't undermine the amount of effort it must take. BUT they STILL hit through walls, they STILL hit from ten feet away, they STILL clip through objects, they STILL start running towards you even if you are crawling on the ground. It is like trying to build a particle accelerator out of planks and nails. Then there is the problem with loot, or should I say the problem with no loot. This mod had a thrill of finding the means to survive and it was what made it fun, now finding loot is a gamble. Also the hope of surviving is essentially gone, because two-three zombie attacks guarantees you a one way trip to a slow infected death. IF players could react appropriately, have means of negating infection probability, it wouldn't be so bad. Needless to say it is currently pointless to search for antibiotics. I don't WANT to sit in the woods all the time, I WANT to take risks, but with this updates it seems that is the last thing the developers want you doing. The best tactic for the longest while was to grab starting gear on the coast, and head north. Now the only realistic option is to head north immediately in hopes that you find food quick. TL;DR: The mod/engine as it stands is unable to support the requirements of a zombie apocalypse scenario. Giving more power to zombies and less power to players is not just difficult, it is unfair and 100% unentertaining.

So what you're saying is WarZ is good until you realize that WarZ is bad? Funny how that works.

    Why hack?

QFT. Hackers are the business-sensible, educated people that make big bucks off the tryhards who get a kick out of this stuff. Script kiddies on the other hand are children at their computers that press a button and take money off their parents' paypal to be the "best,"
  6. Oh lawdy please don't oh god. Stop trying so hard.
  7. The way I see it the only thing more unhelpful than answering a question is asking a question that has already been answered. Plus, since you're new here I'll give you some PRO TIPZ: it is common courtesy to read a thread before posting on it.
  8. My suggestion would be if you don't want to be shot, don't play a game where one of the primary mechanics is shooting. Oh and the war going on above me is funny as hell. Edit: And I like how he gave me his beans. Yes NoyZ, you are being a child. Approving my critique of you won't make it any better. EditEdit: And I also like how he took his beans away after I stated the fact.
  9. I don't know man I've logged about 200 hours on Dora the Explorer: Island Adventure and it is easily 9/10. It would be 10/10 but I always get stuck when Dora tells me to point to the tree. Let's be practical do they really expect me to do that? I barely got past the rock.
  10. Eh. The way he approached the whole WarZ controversy was very immature and, if anything, overly serious. Of course he wasn't anywhere near wrong, but anyone should have seen that coming. Just hope he uses this experience to give some good feedback and clear the air. He is a good interviewer.

    Interview with Matthew Lightfoot

Didn't hear it, but it has to be a joke. Or am I about to get sh*t on, no pun intended?
  12. They have said they are going to prioritize people of importance. IE mods, important community members. But to be honest, they shouldn't make it public. Closed invitation only I say. The point of a test is to give feedback and most people, probably including you, are only asking because you are impatient. Wait the month.
  13. You should. The consolisation of DayZ, specifically the development team, could have disastrous consequences. It is irrelevant if you won't be playing it on that platform. Not to sound like a PC elitist. I am just sick of my favorite games being dumbed down and simplified.
  14. How do they plan on doing this? A simulator-like experience on a console? If they do, separate it from DayZ, as it will have nowhere near the complexity or the amount of mechanics that anything on the PC can provide.
  15. No offence intended, but the criticizer in me wants to criticize this announcement as inspirational crap we have heard before. But I suppose this is a non-announcement announcement, whatever the hell that means. Just like how DayZ isn't a game, but an anti-game that is also a game, yeah? Glad to see things are going well with the team.
