Lol, that's a lot of fun... but knowing me and my crew, we'd probably recruit the noobs to draw fire unknowingly. "Now run across the Airstrip to that hanger over there and bring me back whatever you find. " Noob runs across strip, gets shot in the head, now we know where the enemy sniper is :)

most people play in windowed mode, and jack their gamma with nvidia settings etc. Removing gamma and brightness from client won't solve anything

My biggest issue is the lack of control customization. If you unbind left and right mouse buttons, then bind left mouse button to walk forward, and right mouse button to fire, right mouse button becomes unresponsive, while left mouse button moves forward AND fires... Kind of game breaking.

Have you not been keeping up with the Dev Blog, or the patch threads on the forums here? If you planned on testing properly and actually helping to develop, you may want to familiarize yourself with the process and who is involved directly.

I'm told that you can sell your blood for $15), and if they don't gift it to you, you'll piss on the toilet seat everyday afterwards starting on boxing day. Assuming you didn't actually tell them you'd piss on the toilet seat, if they ever loved you they will get it for you :)

You can NOT unbind fire from the left mouse button no matter what. If you use left mouse button to move forward, you will ALSO fire your weapon(gun or melee). You can not assign fire to the right mouse button, as it becomes unresponsive, and still remains on the LMB. Despite editing the settings in the DayZ Other Profiles folder in my documents, and manually assigning RMB to fire, LMB still fires even though it only shows move forward bound to LMB. This issue persists through inventory screen etc, where some players have issues with moving around and firing weapon while clicking on things in the inventory. If you try to write a note, even with default controls, you will move around if you press w a s or d. I am 98% certain all these issues are tied to the same underlying issue, so I recommend that these reports become merged.

Rocket, any word on the control scheme issue regarding rebinding LMB and RMB? As it stands, if you unbind fire from LMB and put walk forward on LMB, and then put fire on RMB, RMB is unresponsive, while LMB both moves forward AND fires.

There's nothing to fix. Stop running around on the brink of starvation/dehydration and you won't have an issue. People whining and bitching about this are ignorant of the fact that you need to drink A LOT and eat A LOT before you're fully full/quenched. Once you are, you can jog around for like an hour with no issue. Lrn2play

I would LOVE to see a fix to the control settings, wherein currently, you can not unbind fire from LMB, and if you do and assign LMB to say walk, you walk AND swing your weapon. If you try to bind fire to the RMB, it is unresponsive, and stays on the LMB.

Rebinding mouse buttons, issues with LMB and RMB for move forward and fire respectively. http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=343 VERY common issue, but those who use default controls won't notice.

Epic! I really hope they fix the control binding issue when rebinding LMB and RMB so that I can get in and test out these features.

Still wondering if anybody has tried rebinding the fire key away from lmb to, say, rmb Then binding LMB to, say, walk forward. When I do this, LMB walks forward fine... but if I have a weapon equiped, it ALSO fires, which isn't supposed to happen because fire is bound to RMB. RMB doesn't work at all.

ahhh... 1997... I was in grade 7. The idea of straffing while keeping your crosshair on the enemy via mouse turn was amazing. also doubling up keybinds. Straff left drop holoduke, straff right use medkit. Double jump to jetpack woooooopo

Does any body else have this issue? Essentially, when binding anything to left click that is not fire, even if you unbind left click from fire, left click still fires when you use it. Example: I bound left click to move forward, and right click to fire. I made sure that these settings didn't overlap with other functions, i.e. unbinding left click, and if I have a melee weapon equiped and decide to move forward, I move forward AND swing my axe. Right click doesn't do anything despite it being assigned to fire. Very game breaking for anybody that uses a custom control scheme and wants to rebind left click and right click to other functions. Disclaimer: Not whining/complaining, just bringing it to light :)

I use a custom control layout. I bound left click to move forward, and attempted to bind right click to fire. Whenever I have a weapon equiped, and I move forward, my weapon fires(melee). Right click, the button I assigned to fire, does nothing.

I am also still receiving the same graphical artifacting as prepatch. These artifacts only start to appear after roughly 20 minutes of being on a server, and after having entered a new area on the map. They occur most heavily around areas with wire fencing, dead bodies, and tank traps. Fully up to date and running Radeon HD 4800 Flushing no longer seems to fix the issues, though a complete restart of the client does. Again, this restart will only buy another 20 minutes or so of game play before the artifacts kick up again. It seems like a memory leak, but that can't be right can it? Edit: I've tried every "fix" offered by other players via google and these forums. I've tweaked settings via Catalyst CC, as well as attempted full screen windowed mode, windowed mode, every resolution possible, to no avail. Degrees of the artifacting may change, but the artifacts themselves and what causes them still remain. Tricky tricky.
