    I for one am willing to wait as long as it takes for the standalone to come out. I know its going to be in alpha state and there will still be bugs, but the more time taken over release = less buggy = less time people have to take to explain that this "IS AN ALPHA" therefore bugs will be present :) Also because i want to see this game kick WarZ's ass with a whisperkick :)

    you will be wanting the following Intell i5 (or AMD equivelent) CPU 8-12GB RAM (or more if you have slots/cash for it) Nvidea gtx560 or higher graphics card (i would personally recommend at least a gtx580)

    Your current setup needs a better cpu and a better graphics card. The latter of which to change on a laptop is more hassel then its worth. Hance you really want to start a fresh with a gaming tower setup. As much as Laptops will run games, unless you have an Alienware Laptop you will pretty much always struggle with high end games.

    Im supprised you even able to run windows 7 properly with only 2GB ram? you want at least 6GB but i would recomend 8-12GB. Graphics card will run it (on low settings) and the CPU needs an upgrade also. so all in all, RAM upgrade deffo. And the rest if you want it to run smoothly.

    agree with above poster, You want an i5 (or amd equivalent) and something like a gtx 560/580 and at least 8GB of ram.

    I think if you manage to sneak up on someone close enough to open there backpack you should be able to plant a granade in it and have have 10 seconds to get the hell outta there before it goes off! (also gives the grenaded player a chance to get it out of backpack and throw it at the would be pickpocketer)

    Nice story and well put accross, loved it. I know it wont help much to aid your discomfort, but if they had seen you first im almost certain that you would of met the business end of whatever weapon they where carrying. Kill or be killed.

    You mean there are people who are not fresh spawns or bandits? Where? Never seen a Hero in my 3 weeks on Dayz. After being shot while in the driver seat of a fully broken vehicle (Obviously i was a massive threat with my inability to fire or move) i now shoot anyone i see. Not that i want to kill people, but i no longer trust the Dayz community......Sadly.
