What this will add is more situations where a player is not outright killed for his gear. More importantly it will add consistency and realism to the gunplay right now the pvp in the game is so inconsistent that it is borderline shit. Sometimes a single sks shot kills a player other times it takes 3 or more to the same location, there is no consistency at all in the game too much RNG. A incapacitation system would help bring forth uniformity and repeatable results not to mention all of the funny and fun instances that would happen when incapacitated players are taken hostage and once physics and dragging are added they could be loaded in a vehicle and then taken hostage and locked in a base only to be fed periodically. This has happened quite a few times in Rust and these dynamic gameplay situations would really add to the game. Basically Incapacitation as a game mechanic is one of those realism features where the game mirroring real life would add depth to otherwise shallow gameplay. -
Day and night servers will never be a thing unless they can get Arma 3s amazing lighting in.

Perhaps its good for an item to take 1 or 2 seconds more to pick up. I absolutely loathe the stupid TAB + move around near shit and it magically lets you pick it up method. TAB easy access menu is one of the worst things in dayz such an unrealistic and stupid feature full access to your inventory no matter what the condition is, sprinting, walking, running, jogging, middle of combat, ooo no problem . They need to bring back a inventory searching animation and bring forth more realism. -

Why Were Helicopters "Overpowered" In The Vanilla Mod?

There has to be better end game than finding and keeping a helicopter. Helicopters are far too detrimental to the game to simply have them be the end game. A more low tech end game like keeping a base and defending it would fit the setting and would not ruin gameplay as much. -

Not at the moment but in the future HC will get considerable changes compared to regular. Hence why 3pp wall exploits will get fixed eventually. -
Once persistent items are added hopefully trip wire bombs ,ieds, toe poppers, bear traps and all those things get added. Too many potential uses for them. Use them to defend your stashes, to fortify a house, to deny fresh spawns access to high end loot buildings, lots and lots of potential.

No engine is better for dayz than the current engine and arma 3 engine. I mean what other engine does combat justice at 10m and 2000m -

I don't want any cross hair. I also want some free aim to be added and have weapon attachments reduce the free aim. This simple mechanic would give attachments value without resorting to unrealistic measures. Removed cross hair + Forced free aim + weapon parts affecting the handling thus reducing the free aim Perfect realistic approach to fixing some of the gameplay. -

Yup 3-4 inch groups at 100 yards , in game its nowhere near that.

I am just guessing the in game accuracy of the SKS is not even close to what it is in real life. Gews could probably tell you better as he has don the work and has measured the weapons in game accuracy.

It does not cater to both groups and there are more than just 2 groups of players. Many like 3pp but dislike being seen and hate seeing people over and around cover.

Yea the Pu scope needs to go. As for the recoil its pretty spot on, the accuracy of the weapon is not that realistic though. sks is about a 4 moa gun.

It shouldn't be 1pp only. Hardcore should exist and it should be a totally different mode from regular with dealier zombies, harsher survival aspects and less loot. Regular should continue to have 3pp but a fixed version of it either via 4th wall mod, or a complete change of the position of 3pp or a script that disables 3pp when crouched or prone.

I can't help but feel that the attachment system is hurting the games variety. Without the attachment system in place the m4 for example could have turned into a variety of weapons. Instead of finding one sole m4 that spawns with stock hardware then having to waste spawn locations of m4 attachment pieces they could have just copied the arma 2 method of non upgradable non modifiable weapons and tripled the amount of unique spawns in the game right now. Just from the m4 alone they could have the following combinations. Mil Spec m4Mil Spec m4 with red dotMil Spec m4 with red dot and silencerMil Spec m4 with acogMil Spec m4 with acog and silencerMil Spec m4 with silencerMk12 spr - M4 with bipod and LRSMK12 SPR with silencerCivilian Ar 15 - M4 with magpul parts I am sure I am missing some weapons but just from the m4 alone I found 9 different weapons that could have all been unique spawns creating greater perceived variety even if the variety is artificial. Would this method have been better or do you guys like the attachment system and the little depth it adds to loot ?

The m4 is well over 10 times less accurate in game compared to real life. How is that overstated. Simply put as long as the guns in game do not function or behave like their real life counterparts people will be annoyed.

Never seen their Winchester but I did play with the model 7 sweet rifle bit unrealistic how it takes .223 and .22-250 but a fun rifle non the less. -

Nobody said it makes it impossible to get kills it just requires luck and thats where the frustration stems from. The dispersion takes away player skill and replaces it with randomness and luck. Instead of rewarding a player for aiming at just the right place to get a kill the game rolls dice and sometimes rewards him and sometimes does not the problem is you cannot account for rng. 200m is relatively short distance.

Stance system would be fine in dayz. IT should be tweaked and not as deep as the arma 3 stance. Arma 3 stance + civilian stances = perfect for dayz.

Video just shows what everyones problem is with the dispersion . The sheer inconsistency of it. Guy had the same point of aim yet his rounds were at completely random spots. He proves his point well he is demonstrating not user skill but the guns inherent mechanical accuracy. Pistols are extremely accurate firearms the short rigid barrel ensures this pistols are only held back by the ammo they fire.
