Sounds good atleast the damage is good. Would be more interested in seeing if the ballistics are done right and they somehow simulate and visually show how devastating the round is to cover. Currently when you hit an object there is no visual market on the breached side of the wall that demonstrates that a bullet is penetrating.

Sadly they behave like zombies. No real intelligence in them, and intelligence is what makes things scary. would have preferred something like the infected from the crossed comics. http://www.crossedcomic.com/ - NSFW Basically its a virus that is transmitted via body fluids including feces, spit , semen etc. The virus forms a rash on the persons face that looks like a cross but what the virus or disease actually does is removes all sense of guilt or humanity in a person and lets them go forth and do their deepest most darkest desires. People on this virus rape, murder, mutilate, torture and simply let their instincts take over.

A person cut in half would be a great way to distingush a person killed from an explosive or gun fire. So yes once IEDS are added to the game such gory character models would be welcomed by me and they would add to the game.

No those are chevrons. Mildots are a very specific western Ranging reticle. Both work in similar ways they allow you to estimate the distance to something by knowing the known size of the object.

Acog is pretty useless since its rendered in 3d. Any optic with magnification I think should be in rendered in 2d. Makes the optic far more useable. eww at Modern optics on the SVD its bad enough on the mosin.

They want it secretly too but they feel like they need to white knight for dayz because of the magical wizard censors will ban the game if it has gore. The game is made for adults it should reflect that people must not be scared of gore.

second video shows a very light man shooting a safari gun for the first time. That isn't a regular gun he is firing, probably firing a 700 nitro express. not your normal gun man that this is going to give anyone trouble. As for the rest of the people yea you cant fix idiots. Either way the gun shot where the gun was pointed at in each and every case. Even with idiots behind the gun the gun shot where it was pointed at that cant be said for dayz. -
They might as well add a flak cannon now. Joking aside I love Unreal Tournament though. Miss arena shooters.

seems its the same scope for both . In real life they used two different scopes. This is the reticle for the ak one.

Yea the pso's range finder would be useless due to the FOV settings. atleast it wont work unless you have one specific FOV setting.

Optimism is a little too much. They essentially added a bunch of useless crap that adds nothing to the game and the game remains the same as last week but now we got brainless deer and pigs. sticking to not playing until we get an actual substantial update.

The ricochet is the other player shooting the target 2 times through the abdomen and the leg. The players first shot goes up up and misses the head completely no hit detection issues at all just crappy implementation of guns. Even the 2 foot shots where inaccurate he was missing by mere inches but had the gun had realistic accuracy it would have been hits. True and rifling is usually quite good in most modern guns due to the lack of corrosive ammo and chrome lined barrels. Mosins however.... those things fire terrible ammo and lack the chrome lining usually. -

Just bugs me that we will not be seeing any of these weapons even though they would probably be found in any nation bordering a fictional Russia. Each weapon is unique and fits a role but more than the the lack of calibers just means a change of direction in the game a change in the wrong direction. -

The guy was not moving there should not be any problem with collision detection. The m4 is really that in accurate most people dont notice due to them spraying. What is also alarming is how many shots it took to kill. I am counting 2 abdomen shots, 2 leg shots, 1 neck and 1 head shot to finally kill. -

It is a trend that has been going on for a while. I would assume it is not the lack of updates but instead people disillusioned and going back to playing the mod or moving to another game. -

You just named a bunch of valid weapons that could use the 9x39. Sure they are all sorta the same type of weapon but so what ? these type of weapons would likely be found in the games environment and ballisticially are unique enough to warrant their addition. Just a handful of very valid guns that would make perfect sense in dayz. I don't understand the need for variety in dayz, I would be perfectly happy with 5 or 10 different ak variants so long as they feel Authentic to the setting. Nothing would feel more authentic to dayz than an ak74 issued to a conscript. -

I can understand them not wanting to bother adding 4.6x30mm 5.7x28mm .22-250 or any other obscure ammo type but 5.45x39mm and 9x39mm have countless weapons that employ that ammo type especially in Eastern Europe.
