    See thats the thing it is not at all like a mosin. This is a short barreled bolt action carbine with detachable 5 round magazines and is far far far more accurate than the inaccurate mosin nagant. cz527 also comes in 2 unique calibers for bolt action rifles 5.56 nato a very accurate and flat shooting round and 7.62x39 a hard hitting round comparable to a 30-30. The cz 527 and the mosin are worlds apart in how they function and hopefully with its introduction they fix the mosin nagant and by fix I mean remove the bipod, remove the lrs and fix the bolt hand so it is straight. The mosin should be the lee enfield of stand alone, a basic bolt action rifle that is common and ammo is common but it is a low tier weapon, mosins are not 1200m long range precision rifles they are beat up military surplus service rifles that shoot cheap shitty ammo that you can buy in bulk and ammo that is often times badly produced in soviet nations in the 1940s-1980s. While the 527 is also not a true long range sniper rifle it is far more precise of a rifle . Also I hope they dont mall ninja the cz 527 up please no rails, no dumb muzzle break attachments and no tacticool slings or any other silly thing like camo paint. Bipod + hunting and long range scopes thats all. Thats how a high end fully kitted out cz 527 should hopefully look. Same exact thing. Hunting rifle, precision rifle, bolt action rifle , sniper rifle all are the same thing. It is

    The Future of Hardcore vs. Regular?

    Yea it seems hardcore will evolve into its own game mode that is simply not dayz without the 3pp crutch. for this reason alone there needs to be a fix for 3pp so people cant see over walls this way those players who merely play hardcore due tot he perspective can jump in regular servers and be at ease.

The developer of the said he had fixed it in newer versions of the mod with a fade system. you also have to remember that the mod does not work on people that are further away than 200m to avoid having them pop in and out of existence. The mod is indeed the perfect solution along with a camera reposition to avoid having to have the mod itself be noticeable. I see the 4th wall mod as a extra barrier of security to stop people from seeing over and around objects including through buildings but the real solution is a lower camera position that makes it impossible to see above you when prone or crouched. You are competing for resources for land what else is more competitive. The objective is to survive and prepare your character and group the best way possible and one way to do it is by eliminating people who compete for resources or outright avoiding them. How is this not competitive again ?
  4. How is it not a competitive game. The stakes are the highest of any game the game essentially is a mini rougelite the "permadeath" turns it into an extremely competitive game and it only makes sense for somethng like the 3pp crutch to not exist in a game like dayz in a game where life should be super important and precious. BTw a game does not have to be an mlg or arena shooter to be a competitive game.

    Yea why cant the attachments be utility items and cosmetics ? They dont need +30 accuracy to be worth it let players pick accessories merely on what they like and what utility they want their weapon to have. Want a flash light on your m4 then get the rails, like the way the magpul looks then get the magpul like how a regular m4 looks then go ahead use the stock handguard and buttstock the accuracy should remain the same .

    I am hoping they take a more crafty approach to explosives having crafting be an essential part of explosives. This would mean crafting the very base of an explosive the explosive material being a requirement one good way is to remove gunpowder from shotgun shells and have the black powder be used as the base. Then have containers that act much like magazines that can be filled with gunpowder with more gunpowder = more explosive power. So you could custom tailor the explosives for your needs. Tin can or pipe with 10 percent explosive = enough to maim and break someones legs20 percent = kill a player30 kill player but bigger explosion50 disable a vehicle100 blow down a wall or have a huge deadly radius.Hopefully when they add a interaction menu that does away with the scroll wheel we could be able to set down permanent explosives that are tied to the server and persist even if the server restarts or player dies. Hopefully placing the explosives are atleast as in depth as it is in ace mod.

    I hope explosives play a big role in the game. The weapons are far too unreliable in accuracy and damage to dispose of people to my liking. so being able to use grenades for setting traps, ambushes and general demolition is enticing.

    Stop playing the game op. I did last thing I wanted to do was burn myself out on a game with little to no features at the moment. Plus its relatively nice to jump in game every few months and get a good feel for how much the game changed or not.

  15. I was a big fan of that one guys idea a while back on reddit. Spawn in houses anywhere in the map have the players screen fade to black and the character laying down on a bed or sofa waking up. This would have the player distribution evenly spaced. This would also eliminate the potential problem of spawning right in the middle of someones base or close to someones stash.

    Why should this alpha be treated any differently ? If anything wouldn't making concessions that make the game more enjoyable to the testers just make the games development slower ?

    oooooo a mall ninjas wet dream throw on some tactical grips on that some offset iron sights and an infrared illumination night and every mall ninja that sees it will splodge immediately. They should add a rail attachment for the side by side shotgun make it more Tactical. They are marketing the game to the same crowd so its no surprise to me. Trying to get that Tacticool turd money.

    Character resets should happen quite regularly not sure why they havent.
  20. The problem is not the players but the spawn system it makes it far too easy for players to fall to their normal routine. They always follow the same paths the same loot patterns and then die the same in heavily populated pvp zones.
  21. Yea I agree. 3pp is inherently bad for any sort of competitive game due to the unnatural advantages gained due to the perspective. That being said I was merely stating that there are solutions or compromises that could bring both sides of the argument to an agreement.
  22. Part of the problem with dayz. It feels far too forced and the gameplay is never fluid enough. Random encounters are far too unlikely as people tend to not be forced into uncomfortable situations. They follow a set routine. Spawn, loot or server hop for gear, go the closest pvp area and repeat.
  23. Not true. There are potential fixes such as any of the following. Script that disables 3pp when crouched or prone - used in the dayz mod by some servers with good success although it does not eliminate the problem completely it stopped alot of the crutch camping.4th wallish type mod with further refinements to ensure it works perfectly.Camera reposition so that it is around waist level thus ensuring it cannot be used to look over objects.Eliminating hardcore mode and regular mode and instead making a 1pp and 3pp mode in 3pp there is no iron sights you merely aim with a crosshair no 1pp whatsoever only for optics.I am sure there are any number of additional "fixes"
  24. I think they ment well initially. They wanted to give value to the attachments they were going to put in game. Instead of merely being cosmetic or utilitarian attachments the devs decided to go with a super unrealistic approach and it seems it backfired nobody likes the dispersion game mechanic.

    The worst ideas for Dayz

    Epoch is just one of many many many dayz mods. If you want extreme survival and a hard game there are half a dozen mods for that. Epoch well I don't even know what epoch is really its not a zombie survival sim its a beast of its own different from dayz but fun nonetheless.
