  1. I will say one thing though although not perfect the movement in arma 3 is far more realistic. It does not have the unreal tournament strafe movement that stand alone has.

  3. That's how it works in real life. Trying to breach an area when people know you are coming is suicide. Thats when it requires people to get creative.

    DayZ moving to new engine - ENFUSION

    We know it really is not a new engine but instead an improvement and built upon the current engine. This is actually good news as it means the modding community will continue to be as robust as ever and Dayz will not lose that mil sim feel of long view distance and gunplay.

    The reason is because the players in dayz are not soldiers they are just civilians. There has been alot of confusion on the subject in the past so its kinda nice that a dev clarrified this the other day. I wouldn't mind civilian inspired stances similar to arma 3 but not as many different variations.
  7. That is thankfully implemented now. It is not perfect yet but it is already in game and with time it will be an amazing gameplay addition. It will give pistols more value too.
  8. Yea lets hope that is not the case there is so much potential with a deep and complex medical system and injured states. I would hope to see things like being shot in the lung affect stamina and breathing, being shot in the heart causing profuse bleeding, and head injuries causing concussions knocking people in and out of consciousness.

ACE Style realistic Sniping The ultimate solution to fix how easy sniping is + at the same time enhance the capabilities of people who spend the time to learn this new angular system of sniping. Arma 3 weight and fatigue system ported over / ACE weight volume inventory Awesome game mechanic that would change the entire game and improve realism and authenticity in dayz. Give ace mod a try if you can. The ballistics in ACE mod are affected by wind + and the guns actually have higher dispersion rates compared to vanilla arma but combined with weapon resting, bipod deployment and complex sniping it all gels so fantastically. LMGs are the monsters of the battlefield that they should be meanwhile sniper rifles are scalpels that require planning and skill to use.

    There is nowhere on a mosin for a new bipod to mount to. 100 year old mosins have rails ?

    Nope they removed it as they should there realistically is nowhere for the bipod to mount on. Hopefully the LRS is removed in the future as well when more modern and suitable rifles for the LRS begin to spring up.
  13. Yes because in a world devoid of food and proper nutrition people are more able bodied and fit right ? Then you also remember the lack of tactical or military training these people would not posses how would they even know how or why someone would enter in that stance ?

Yea and arma 3 characters are also either special forces soldiers or regular soldiers who have not only the physical stamina and strength to move in such positions but to hold them for long periods of time. Your retail working survivor would not have a clue on how to even move in such a manner much less be in shape enough to move that way for a long time. I honestly wish there was no toggle weapon raising in the game we should have to press and hold space bar to raise and shoot our weapons.

    Something tells me the damage system is all placeholder atm and will get replaced completely in due time. No way the final game keeps the current blood/ shock damage mechanic its pretty bad and not very modular.

    Not sure about you but when I wake up I can devour a horse .I always wake up starving.

    Simple solution , simply make sure the vests dont absorb any damage and items inside do no absorption either. Kevlar does nothing to stop rifle most rifle rounds.

    The sun shafts look ugly and are unrealistic. Human eyes are not cameras and I don't see the need for something like this in the game. There is of course the possibility that it could be gameplay related if that were the case then make sunglasses stop the sunshafts and have a dark tint to the screen. Unfortunately due to 3pp we probably will not see any cool stuff related to wearing goggles or helmets or sunglasses being implemented. sigh sadly we will never get that in Dayz.

    The mods will be completely free and open to do what they want. you cant have innovation without freedom to push boundaries. Vanilla hive servers = no mods Private hives = free to do whatever they want.

    Flashbangs and Grenades

    Grenades and flashbangs have great crafting potential. I mean wouldn't anyone want to be able to put these on trees in a tripwire mode and then have an unsuspecting person walk across them ?
  22. Good luck doing that when there are potentially 1000s of spawn points and it would take hours before you even get anywhere near the nwaf.
  23. I truly hope they come up with a more dynamic and random spawn system in the final release. Spawn anywhere in the map inside of a building or something The player should never ever ever be able to pick where he spawns in the game and never be able to spawn in with friends. Catering even one bit to the easy mode players fundamentally ruins the game to the vets and people who actually want the anti game.
  24. Controlled spawnpoints ? aka being able to choose where you spawn ? I thought rocket was completely against that now as he should being able to control where your players spawn would be so detrimental to gameplay.
