Range and accuracy are not the same thing. In game the mosin is more accurate than the 5 ish moa a real life mosin is.

not the case with the mosin or b95. From my understanding the Mosin actually is far more accurate in game than a real life mosin.

I really don't like the clothing absorbing damage mechanic. It just leads to sillyness like people taking rifle rounds to the face and shrugging it off or a 7.62x54r right to the chest and a thin nylon jacket somehow mitigating the damage.

I suspect that has less to do with nerfing and more to do with them adjusting player damage or player health and the guns feeling weak as a by product.

Sniping at any range in dayz is not sniping. It is far too comically easy to snipe in dayz. Even arcade games like battlefield have harder sniping even though it is not realistic. Hyper realistic shooting would fix this though.

Perhaps in the future the bipods will not affect the guns accuracy but instead allow the gun to be proped up on the ground or objects reducing recoil and increasing stability.

Nope just regular people not military trained and not avatars of the players. -
It is a freaking ww2 weapon it makes no sense to have it compatible with modern accesories. Whats next you guys want the acog and red dot sights to work on the mosin too ? LRS should be removed sooner than later.

Agreed. No choppers or military equipment. The new low tech approach and the importance that the players are not military trained personnel but just regular survivors needs to be the focus. -

Forced free aim would be that tiny extra step that makes the game less like a twitch shooter and into its own unique game. Forced free aim can also be used to offer diverse weapons and have them each feel unique. Long heavy weapons such as the mosin could have alot of free aim meanwhile pistols and light smgs can be tighter and have alot less free aim. -

Ace mod IEDs. They could give walkie talkies more crafting potential by having you combine an IED or any explosive with a walkie talkie then choosing the channel of the walkie talkie , then simply find another walkie talkie connect to the channel the IED is on and it will detonate. The ability to use tripwires on them would be fantastic too as a means to secure locations and ensure there are no intruders. -
How long do you wait if pinned down?

With third person view you can wait forever with the comfort of being able to see around the corner or above the building. No such thing as being pinned down in 3pp. -
That would require everyone to use acre no and thus not have any external voice programs ?

Bohemia making a new map would be pointless. Why pay for a Bohemia map when the community will provide dozens for free. -
