Don't give up hope. 5.45x39 might come in due time and then we will see the krinkov along with other fantastic 5.45x39 weapons and the rounds fantastic flat shooting low recoil characteristics. There are so many cool and regionally authentic weapons in 5.45x39 that hopefully it gets added eventually.

Perhaps it is weapon specific I have only had the chance to test out the sway with a mosin a gun that for all intensive purposes is unwieldy and awkward to shoot. Perhaps lighter weapons such an m4 have less exaggerated sway.
-
Yea if weapon resting is a thing ever I would not mind even more sway when resting and tired. I am noticing the new sway is actually affecting how I play, I no longer take the first shot I can get on people I actively wait for the best possible chance when my aim is steady, I have controlled breathing and when the player is at a range I can hit. New sway + Rag doll + Weapon Resting + Manual Bolting + Realistic weapon characteristic = Amazing potential gunplay.

DayZ is far more optimized than you think tbh...

Performance is relatively good in Dayz. Problem is the people who try to play the game on potatoes expecting it to run fine. -
So is life. I see nothing wrong with redundancy when it is realistic and authentic for this very reason I am not opposed to seeing 5 or 6 different ak variants because it would make sense. Artificial variety is not that great.
-
Then why not add the regular mp5 with a full length stock and almost no modularity. Same reasoning I see for adding the m44 or m38 , relatively close to the 9130 but no modularity and more common than the modular version. Both of these could be Police Dept spawns. MP5 is still crazy popular in Law Enforcement world wide. MP5k I am not sure.

What clothing set/weapons would you add if you could?
gibonez replied to SomeCallMeNomad (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
That would probably be the case. I am just hoping they treat them realisticly and not make them some magical thermo nuclear rpg like most games do. -
That sounds fantastic especially with the new arma 3 stamina system.
-
Ahah really ? ammo is plentiful and who does not shoot people once in the floor again in the head just in case. Every single time I was knocked unconscious I hear them get closer and then put another in my head.
-
Notice the size and length of it ? That does not look like a 9130 looks more like an m38 or m44. An m44 or m38 would be nice more common than the 9130, no attachments at all.

Ideally I rather have a gun to shoot back I am merely saying you stand a bigger chance to survive if you fight back instead of laying down pretending to be dead. More likely to happen too.
-
Any other possible option including fighting with your firsts probably has a higher chance of you living compared to just pretending to be dead.
-
Yea I would never pretend I was shot because chances are you will then be a much easier target to get shot. You don't get to respawn in real life thus I would never take the risk.
-
If he is like my or any other player I have met before he is gonna pump extra rounds into you including your head then check your pulse before looting you.
-
On the grounds that you would volunteer to put yourself in such a vulnerable position in hopes of maybe fooling a player into thinking you are dead. I just don't buy it I can't imagine a situation in real life where such a thing would be the best course of action nor where it would actually fool the other person. It just feels like something strictly for the movies.
-
In both cases laying down pretending to be dead is illogical.
-
Those should be rare as well but of course not to the extent of working cars. The only thing more comical than people sprinting 30 km/h everywhere is everyone in the server with bicycles jetting to locations. Grand grand majority of people should have to walk everywhere or if they are light enough jog to locations.
-
I don't see a reason for this to exist ? In a world full of zombies that will beat the crap and bite me but who cares let me just lay down and pretend im dead.
-
It has was lowered a tiny bit ? I remember it was at 30 km/h at one point . Wish they would have a dynamic sprint speed, less equipment you have the faster you run the more stuff you have the lower your max speed and faster you tire out. max top speed of around 17 km/h would be fine.
-
pretty much. I am thinking some of these new players think the vehicles will be abundant like wasteland and everyone will suddenly be driving everywhere. Reality is you will probably see one car or vehicle about once a month if you are lucky.
-
Casual mode .........
-
Yea the map will instantly feel much bigger and planning long trips will feel daunting.
-
Far more realistic compared to the robotic sway that we had before. People had the stability of a bench rested weapon and this was after a 30 minute sprint. Also the sway is relatively accurate although I can't compare to being out fo breath and shooting as I shoot at the range and have never been in such a situation.
-
There is no need to implement anything before anything else. I rather they implement it early and perfect it long before vehicles are added.
