Nothing it is just silly that nearly every single weapon in the game has one. Even weapons that 99 percent of the time would not have one . Say the world does end guess what the first things to break would be yes optics. It is better for gameplay to have optics even 4x acogs and pso scopes be ultra rare .

While a scope is surely to come for the cz 527 it does not freaking need one. Just because it is a bolt action rifle does not mean it needs a scope or any optics of any kind. The game already has an over abundance of optics there is zero need to have the survivors walking around in akms decked out like special forces soldiers. This is supposed to be a resource limited world yet everyone and their grandma has a fully decked out akm with rails and drum mags and mosin nagants are some how magically fitted with what looks like 3k dollar + tactical scopes. Iron sights should be encountered on 90 + percent of the guns you find on players in the game, because when shit hits the fan and there is no more resources iron sights do not fail yet that fancy smancy scope can break with a simple fall. The cz 527 works fine without optics and would work equally fine with them.

Sniping has never, ever been about skill in Dayz or Arma 2. Sniping sadly is the easiest way to obtain a kill both of these games and unlike other games even arcade games it requires the least amount of skill. While counter strike and battlefield for instance put artificial unrealistic limitations of sniper rifles to decrease their overall effectiveness and increase the skill required IE. BF's drastically different and super slow bullet speed + insane bullet drop or counter strikes fast paced movement and high player skill where a person with an ak47 is just as deadly as the guy across the map with an awp. In Dayz and Arma 2 the guy with the long range rifle has all the advantages in the world combine that with downright easy shooting that requires 0 lack of skill or experience and you have an overabundance of snipers. The only way Skill will ever be introduced to sniping in dayz or arma 2 is if they remove the current system of range elevation adjustments and instead put in an true to life angular form in either moa adjustments or mrads. Then add wind + weapon resting or bipod deployment. Sniping in dayz much like real life should be based on experience and skill not on press page up 5 times aim at the person if you miss walk the bullets to him.

I hope one day there will be no need to have any zombie respawn at all. I look forward to the day where the game is so optimized that right at server restart the game spawns all of the zombies that are needed right from the get go. -
550 meters away zoomed all the way. Those buildings in the back are actually like 790 to 800m away.

The writing is pretty shit tier dude. Listen to the conversations how downright stupid and unbelievable alot of the dialogue is not to mention how stupid some of the characters are. Pretty bad writting man like one of the worst on air the show belongs on network television pretty sad it is so popular. -

nope I roam the map yet still no hackers. I think part of the problem is any time anyone dies they like to automatically blame hackers. Same thing with bandits vs players everytime they kill a player they magically justify it by saying they were bandits. -

90 hours in standalone and yet to see a single hacker. -
The map now displays with a big huge circle where the player is located. As you can imagine I along with every other realism nut absolutely hates this and much to my surprise so does most people on reddit. How about you guys how do you feel about this latest change.

It was never really needed. Loot was already easy to come by before respawning loot yet the easy mode people cried and cried. Some good can come out of respawning loot hopefully the devs use this as a means to stop server hopping and to actually make everything even rarer than before by not being able to let servers abuse restarting servers to populate the loot.

Agree this is one of the few ways to do it. I would also like it for the loot system to be dynamic in a way that encourages looting in fully populated servers. Empty server = no loot cant even find some rags. Fully populated server = good loot plenty of loot. This could also fix server hopping since people would not be able to jump into empty servers to gear up + they can make any nearby loot disappear when you server hop into a server.

The only style of kill log system is a journal that all players spawn with. If you kill someone it displays the victims name in the journal and a 2d picture of a player with red marks on the location that you shot the player in. -

People will complain against 3pp mode too. The thing is people will adapt and their complaining will stop. Fixing 3rd person is better for the game it would improve gameplay immensely. -

the best solution is the 4th wall mod but instead of being script based it is all done in engine without the need for scripts. A heavily modified and perfected form of this mod would keep both sides happy. It would instantly solve the problem + it would also solve the problem with people peeking through walls since if your players eyes cannot see something it will not render. -
Minute of angle it is angular form of measurement. It roughly translates to about 1 inch at 100 yards. So if a weapon is 2 moa for example it would mean if the weapon was perfectly secure and fired 2 times at the same target without movie it would make a group of no larger than 2 inches.

It will be a server option or someone will make a script for it for private servers eventually. -
Ideally when it is balanced. The Cz 527 should be a very accurate 2 minute of angle gun at 100yards, it should have the fastest response time and lowest dexterity penalty of any rifle in its caliber. So yea it should be really useful against players. The cz will be a scalpel whereas the sks and the akm will be sledge hammers one deals death with precision and finesse the others with brute force and firepower.

Sounds good but it also sounds like a whole lot of work for the devs for something nobody outside of a handful of players would use. I know I myself ignore the bows or crossbows and will never even so much as pick one up even If I have no weapon on me and even If I did I would throw it away for the first firearm I encounter regardless of what it might be.

Thats assuming its a bug. Perhaps they embraced a more realistic approach to the handguards and stocks and instead the removal or addition of these parts on the gun instead has an effect on the sway/ weapon inertia mechanics.

ahaha it is not game breaking. It makes perfect sense if you want to run lower your gun and only raise your gun when you are about to shoot. Risk reward. This isn't unreal tournament man there are no flak cannons or rocket jumping the controls need to feel realistic and this goes a tiny step into a realistic direction. Take a look at the inclines of the hills most people think you should run up. There is no way you would run or even jog up those steep inclines no way.
