A .22lr / .410 / 12 gauge shotgun combo would be great but probably impossible due to engine restrictions. -

Awesome we definitely need more bolt guns and especially need .22lr guns. .22lr should be the most common caliber and most common gun in the game. -

I thought Star Citizen had way more than 53 million dollars now ? All the cash of course being crowd funded. One of the upsides of this approach is that they do not have to cater to a publishers time tables no deadlines, no catering to the casual gamer for potential sales. From the ground up Star Citizen might potentially be a pure hardcore complex game. Elite dangerous has followed this same approach and it looks fantastically hardcore even in this early stage. -

I like the cut of your jib. More hunting rifles and less military weapons. -
Problem is the heights are unrealistiic in dayz. You should only die after a huge fall , most of the falls would at best break your legs.

Locking the vertical IP would not interfere with horizontal fov settings thus people would still be able to adjust their fov to not get motion sickness and to accommodate 1440p monitors or larger while not giving lower FOVS any advantage in zoom or render distance.

I wouldn't mind being called bean king. I do have a fondness for legumes in real life, good source of fiber and protein. Easy to prepare and cook. Great to pair with lots of other foods .

just take the wipe then struggle for 10 or 15 minutes to get fully geared. -

Yup exactly forced free aim would improve the gameplay so much making hipfiring impossible past point blank range. Even shots at 5 feet would require aiming.

they should adjust the fall damage so it depends on how heavy your character is. Fresh spawn with a t shirt , flashlight and battery = broken legs after a 3 story fall you cant climb ladders with broken legs. Fully kitted out player with lots of weight death from a 2 story fall. This could do a good job of stopping people from suiciding for better spawns too .

They could always try the arma 2 mod approach to server hoppers . Back in the mod when you joined a server any loot near the player was deleted as soon as the player spawned in. They could do that in standalone wiping out any loot near a non spawn player when he logs in so say if the player spawns in the airfield any loot within 100m is deleted.

Heck I would bet most of the people complaining jumped in without even playing the mod. The problem stems from people comparing stand alone to finished products and SA is not one now and will not be one for a very long time. But regardless of their play time even the most negative of feedback still has some useful elements to it. Therefor regardless of the players playtime everyone's opinion is equally valid. -

Yup Arma is Bohemias baby and it should stay that way. Arma will get even bigger once the launcher is fully developed as it will allow users to install , download mods and join servers with even greater ease making the wonder mods even more accessible for new players. -

How is that relevant in any possible way ? Higher hours played only means one of two things. You have alot of free time to play or you are a glutton for punishment. -

Thats just the result is a bugged and very early damage model. Hopefully with time the inventory and damage model will not be so buggy and weapon damage will be consistent and reliable.

Do you prefer fast zombies or slower zombies?

My preferences in film aside I just see more potential with slow zombies than I see with ultra fast zombies from a gameplay standpoint. Slow zombies in large numbers bring instances where the player gets killed by zombies not because of the zombies attributes but because of player stupidity. If a player gets overwhelmed it is because he stayed in one area too long, drew too much attention to himself or failed to barricade an area adequately. While you can achieve the same with fast zombies you add to must frustration imo with the fast zombies. -

28 days later zombies are not true zombies. Romeros zombies are so much better. Zombies should be deadly and scary only in high numbers and this is impossible with the sonic the hedgehog zombies. -

It will be in good hands regardless if Rocket stays or goes. Heck it might even get better once more of the experienced Arma 3 devs transition over to dayz although I personally hope they stay on Arma since Arma is the most important franchise for BI. -
What is the problem with that ? I am sure anyone who has played the mod on private hives will tell you that the cases where the private server you typically played on was full are very small. Dayz truly shines when you play on a server with the same people over and over again. Private hives is how dayz should be been built around from day 1, one character per server .

Great addition. It is not better than any other weapon but it does not have to be. It works within the game and fits the setting so well its a civiian weapon I would expect in the game. Hopefully they add more bolt guns like it.

BTW minion .308 win is not really weaker than 7.62x54r. I would bet that at 800 yards for example a 175 grain .308 bullet hits much harder than the typical 147 grain ball 54r ammo common found in surplus. -
This is badly needed. The longer the game gets in development the harder it is to differentiate it from arma. Far too much military clothing and gear so far.
