what's your favorite backpack to use?

I really hope one day everything including backpacks will be so rare that everyones favorite backpack is the one they can find or make.

    Another Firearms Wishlist

It probably has to do with the caliber. .30-06 would be a highly desirable caliber in the game especially if its added as a civilian hunting round. adding that round would mean adding weapons in that caliber and the most famous would be the m1 garand. I can see them adding a wide variety of hunting rifles in .30-06 in the future.
  3. Sure why not. I can think of 3 different guns that fit the exact same role with the same caliber as those guns yet would make far far far more logical sense.

    Add more sniper tools

I am in support of the weapons having realistic attachments that make sense. I rather they separate the scope from the mount. Add scope rings that would work with the ruger 10/22 and the cz527 then also eventually add the specific scope mount that the b95 uses. As for the mosin I would prefer if they separate it into 2 weapons. Either do a simple reskin of the mosin now and give it a straight bolt and have this version not take any optics. Then add a rare mosin that keeps its bent bolt and takes the pu scope. Or Add in a Carbine mosin and have it not take optics and then keep the current mosin in and make it rare.
  5. The number is too specific yes. But I like the idea of the weapons being added in the game on the context of them making sense for the region and having some tangible number for them to be included.

    Suggestion: Sleeping When Logged Out

With the map that is the size of Dayz and one character per server even after a couple of weeks the chances of you being alive in your house or a barricaded building are good. Rust had a map substancially smaller and I had no problems logging in after a month to my character still there. Often times they left me alone and just took some of my stuff. Part of the problem is people are not immediately seeing the potential for such a system in eliminating so many fo the games fundamental problems. They only see it as a problem for them. They ignore how it would stop half a dozen game breaking problems with introducing far better gameplay.

    Spawn near your Friends (realistic)

Every time I see these stupid suggestions this video always becomes more relevant.

    Add more sniper tools

all the more reason to add wind, realistic ballistics and mil/moa turrets. Instead of setting artificial roles and pre determined elevation adjustments for the guns and having to worry about how the weapons might be used why not have the caliber of the gun and the accuracy of the rifle determine how a weapon is used.

    Suggestion: Sleeping When Logged Out

No you won't Even in a game like rust where player sleeping locations are a whole lot more obvious than they would be in Dayz you you don't always wake up dead and when you do its because of an organized raid.

What clothing set/weapons would you add if you could?

All that are probably in numbers so insignificant that they are probably not statistically relevant. Take the Ukraine how many tavors do they even own ? 12, 24,100 even 1000 at those numbers it's insignificant compared to the rest of their stockpile. Not to mention they all exist in a completely functioning society with a global market. Take away those 2 like in dayz and how likely would you truly think those weapon systems are likely to be found ? If I had to guess

    Suggestion: Sleeping When Logged Out

This single suggestion would be fantastic but unfortunately several things must happen before it could become feasible. 1. Base building needs to be added . 2. Barricading needs to be added. 3. No hive spawn system one character per server. With these two things being added then it would not only make sense it would improve the gameplay ten fold. While you may not see the benefits to gameplay immediately a sleep system in the game would have the same positive effects that it did in Rust. 1. People will not kill on sight nearly as much as they do in dayz due to having a static location where they must rest. 2. Alliances will form due to the increased versatility and safety in numbers, groups will watch each others backs when they are sleeping and not in game. 3. Combat logging immediately disappears. 4. No ghosting or server hopping is possible. 5. No silly popping into existence. If the game truly wishes to be a good survival game it needs sleeping when you log off and your character needs to stay sleeping in game when you are not logged in. Yea but ask yourself what is more realistic ? Not sleeping in game and having your character magically materialize out of thin air allowing for far greater exploits or your character sleeping in game trying to hide from not only the environment but other players ?

    Love the New Sway

Once again more stupid assumptions. The sway is a good thing but hopefully not the last thing they do to the aiming system. Even with this new sway shooting and sniping in particular is still too easy. The game needs wind , mil/moa turrets and then maybe the sniping will be good enough to separate the men from the boys. Currently its just too daam easy and anyone who has ever played any FPS ever can do well. All you are doing is crying because the game got slightly harder. Do you also not like the idea of a stamina and weight system, do you hate the idea of zombies posing a threat ? , do you detest the new temperature system ? Would you also hate it if they made you run at a realistic speed instead of sprinting like a road bicycle ?

    Love the New Sway

Look at my comment history I have been overly critical of many many many of the games components I am the farthest thing from being a fanboy. The sway is simply fine. There is only 2 choices for you however, adapt to the new sway like everyone else has already or stop sniping and stick to close range stuff.

    Love the New Sway

Ok that looks pretty decent. What exactly is the problem ? fight the sway any decent player could hit a person on that roof top for instance.
  15. gibonez

How are we supposed to play the game right now?

The amount of crying when the game even gets remotely the tiniest bit harder is hilarious.

Dying of hunger wayyyyy too often

I am noticing a trend with people dying of hunger and thirst. I see this as a great sign that some of the gameplay mechanics surrounding survival are getting better fleshed out. Hunger, disease, zombies, injuries should be the main thing killing your player and players being the minority of your deaths. Not by preventing pvp but by making everything harsher, everything less abundant and the requirements to be healthy larger.

Weapons - Where Should They Go Next?

The road warrior approach might be interesting for gameplay.

    Snipers

This man gets it. It's amazing how shockingly easy it is to snipe in dayz. It is easier than even some arcade games like Battlefield.
  19. gibonez

What clothing set/weapons would you add if you could?

This man gets it. Loo-table straight bolt = only takes bayonets Bent bolt mosin made rare and takes the pu scope.

    Ghillie suit, rangefinder ?

I like the approach that standalone will probably take towards ghillies. Either you put the ghillie on and restrict storage space aka no backpack and stuck with only limited slots in your pants and the ghilli. Or you don't craft a ghillie and take the inventory.

    Love the New Sway

It is mostly just people complaining that they can't hit people from 800m away with a scoped mosin after sprinting for half an hour. Funny thing is you still can and the other funny thing is that people are complaining that the easy I mean super easy dayz shooting mechanics are challenging to them.

    How to Approach other players?

Use third person view to exploit the perspective and gain information. Use the wall peeking to close the distance on the other player while never even exposing myself to harm. Finally approach hah I just wait for the right moment and peek out of a corner and shoot the guy Am I doing DAYZ right ? BTW I don't play third person.

A look at one of the new zombie models

Let's be honest here the chances of the devs actually having zombified children in the game are slim to none. On the other side of the token this game has a mature rating and is intended to be for adults so who cares if they have children or gross depiction of violence as an adult you should be able to handle it. Say in the rare chance they go for zombie kids then right on more power to them I will blast those little critters in the head and sleep like a baby and you know why ? because its a video game not real life and any sane person would be able to easily see the difference.
