I suspect eventually the movement get adv overhaul. The lack of stamina, insane sonic the hedgehog speed and lack of stances has to change.
-
Yea how I wish shooting mechanics were more complex and in-depth. Better sway, weapon resting, hot barrels and fouled dirty barrels are less accurate, weapon collision with the environment ,free aim ,mil/moa turrets, wind, bipod deployment on the environment, and lastly some kind of focus mechanic where the longer you aim at something the more accurate your are simulating good trigger pulls.
-
The bipod is attached to the heavy barrel. If I had to guess it all spawns in one spot and when combined with the Aug it turns it into the hbar. http://world.guns.ru/userfiles/images/assault/as20/aug_bbls.jpg Longer thicker barrel so hopefully higher muzzle velocity and more accurate due to better harmonics

I like the idea of it being only crafted. They also need to make it fragile meaning if you kill A person with a ghilie suit it becomes ruined and cannot be scavenged for yourself.
-
Pretty much this.It would be just as weird to see this gun in the game as it would be to see a scar or as50

Attaching scopes should require a tool as well as "sighting in".

Hah the fight to make dayz become a mass market easy mode game is hilarious. It simply won't happen complexity and depth are pivotal to dayz it is the reason people were intrigued by it. For those that want a simple dayz don't worry surely dayz clones will come out. Keep dayz realistic keep dayz hard. -
In that picture you also weren't sprinting for an hour at 30 km/h. Overheating will hopefully become less of a problem if they add stamina and believable movement speed

Steyr AUG: Use the A3 and not the A1 version
gibonez replied to stielhandgranate's topic in Suggestions
A1 is fine. The a1 I'd not only the most iconic version of the Aug it's limited modularity also guys fits making the m4 the desired weapon for gun customization. A1 starts with a scope limited to no customization. M4 no optics but the most customization and most versatile weapon in the game keeping it highly sought after. Guns playing roles is great. Going the cod route where everything is modular would suck. -

Simple screwdriver would work. As for zeroing the last I would hope for is mil/moa turrets -
Something for the ladies... the Pink Derringer exists!

It's weapons like this that really sets dayz apart from the other dude bro shooters on the market -
Third Person View should be Over-the-Shoulder, NOT a bird's eye view.
gibonez replied to Rags!'s topic in General Discussion
Possibly the opposite. In fpv only most of the time when players encounter each other they are both caught off guard and usually both flee. In tpv due to the terrible way the game renders players you can't even see people wait on roof tops behind cover in complete safety just waiting to ambush people. Such actions would not be possible if they fixed this. -
We really need a question and answers sub forum. So many of these threads where someone asks where x item is after each patch.

Nothing on the game should not be added simply because of a fear of what hackers could or could not do. Peeing does not need to be added since I cannot see how it would be directly tied to disease.
-
The pumps make the game entirely too easy. They should remove all of the water pumps and instead add persistent objects like water collection barrels and tarps.
-
How is that wrong? What makes you think realism is not a priority or of importance? Everything in the game suggests that realism is of utmost importance. It does not take a rocket scientist to see that defecation could tie into do many of the already existing gameplay mechanics. Tracking, disease, nutritional mechanics, etc All of these and more could be improved with this addition. I would understand the apprehension for this if the game was marketed towards children but that is not the case the game is rated for adults.
-
The reason people are so against this idea is exactly the same reason people are against stamina, disease,mil/moa turrets, carry weight limits, wind and other realistic survival aspects. It gets in the way of their dude bro coastal PvP circle jerk. All of these features including defecation put more of an emphasis on survival and adds depth and complexity. If the game intends to fully develop the survival mechanics then this needs to be in.It's a basic human function and ignoring this bodily function will lead to death and discomfort.

Like all things ban related they would do an investigation. Accidental dupes would lead to fast fixes since they should theoretically be alerted immediately when something is duplicated.

Simply making players that your character cannot see not render would fix all the problems combined with a change in the camera It's do simple that I fail to see why they haven't done it yet. If you can't see something then don't render it -
Let's hope when the central loot system is in this is not the case

Biggest change the devs could do to put an emphasis on the players not being Olympic athletes would be to make sprinting extremely taxing on the player. Jogging and walking should be the main easy to get around the map. Sprinting should be extremely short and only used in extreme circumstances. The speed of walking should also get a boost to make it more viable. Jogging should waste stamina depending on your weight. Heavy players should jog for 1 mile or less light scout players for 2 to 5. Walking wastes no stamina. Sprinting regardless of weight is only activated for seconds and used in times of emergency.

Long discussed problem since the days of operation flashpoint. Real problem lies with it rendering players your player can't see. Don't render players you can't see and boom problem fixed -
Really wish they would turn chenarus plus into an island. Add a coast to all that empty land then add coastal spawns around the entire map
-
They should give if the stock back. It's pretty terrible without it looks like something out of a corny action movie or a dudebro shooter. Wish they would have just gone with an full sized mp5
-
Duping the Ultimate reason the global loot system is going to be great. With every item and object having a identification number on it and being globally tracked it should mean duplicate items and the people creating them should be easily found and those people permanently banned.

A better"balance" mechanic should be to simply have the player vomit regular food once he has consumed human meat. Thus consuming human flesh means becoming dependant on it. Even better than that how about keeping it realistic and not having any negative gameplay elements due to eating human meat
