It's a way for the devs to better control loot. Theoretically for example the devs could make it so only 60 long range scopes spawn across all servers. Basically it will allow for true rarity and maybe eliminate dupping of items

You seriously think the rag to fix gunshots is a finished gameplay mechanic. It just like most things in the game are merely placeholders. We all seen the limping animations the first sight of what will probably be complex and deep injury and health system. We already know player speed was a placeholder to help testing and that it will be slowed down and that stamina will come next year according to the new time table. Nothing I mean nothing seems to suggest dayz is not intended to be realistic quite the contrary actually. As time goes on unrealistic aspects are removed and realistic ones are added in its place. As for losing players that's false they might complain and protest but they still will keep playing we all know that. -

Even that speed is kinda crazy. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't that a 5:27 mile? The vast vast majority of the population will never even get close to running that fast for any long amount of time let alone hungry sick survivors. 8 to 10 minute miles seems far more realistic especially when weight and equipment is taken into account -

Why compare the characters in game to soldiers, navy seals or even adults in their prime? The characters in the game are supposed to be in dire straits. There is a lack of food lack of water lack of hygiene or medicine. Expecting the in game characters to perform like soldiers would be silly. The players should all look famished and sickly. The player movement should reflect that -
So the bike speed should be 60 or 90 km/h

Yup I just shake my head at people who suggest you should be able to Sprint or even jog up hills. It's almost like those people have never stepped outside of their house and never gone on a hike. An improvement over the walking animation when going up steep hills would be a staggered walking animation the speed should remain similar. -
This would make a hell of allot more sense to see in game and not some of the mall ninja clothing in game.

Yup these scopes are way more useful compared to the vanilla scopes yet so many people here would consider them a downgrade. The scopes in the video are all 2d scopes thus better performance crisper reticles and correct ballistic drop reticle. Why everyone wants 3d scopes or even pip scopes if beyond me. 2d scopes work fine in fact they work far better than any 3d scopes I have ever used in any game.

Should be the other way around. Akm low end no accessories drum mag only iron sights. Ak 74 medium end takes some accessories including the pso but the elevation adjustments should be very wrong. Ak 101 takes all ak accessories.

I so wish gas masks obscured vision or any mask really. But for that to happen they gotta lock you in to fpv at least when equipped. -

Yea 10 minute miles sounds realistic. At the same time with full kit running at that speed outdoors I would be afraid of foot injuries. -

A 6 minute mile is being extremely generous considering the player has gear and weapons in dayz. Even if there was no gear the vast majority of the population can't even run a 7 minute mile. -

Game would feel do much better immediately with the Sprint speed halved. For one the map would once again feel larger. -

Stamina is absolutely vital. it also needs to be realistic too. However unlike arma 3 there is no situation where you are carrying 100 kilos due to plate carriers and missile launchers so stamina will not feel as bad. Then again there is always the option to not carry every thing you see. -

The only reason it was brought up now is because in every past conversation about realistic movement and stamina all of the manic speed proponents use vehicles as the magical harbinger for a realistic movement change. So now that they can no longer use that silly excuse the topic arises. Wait..... You actually like the sonic the hedgehog speed. -
