    adding an in game animation editor sounds like an incredibly hard and time consuming thing for the devs to add specially when the vast vast vast majority of the community would never even use it.

    It does. Those animated sights are fantastic when they arent crashing arma 3. Give RHS: Escalation a go also it has the most detailed vehicles and weapons I have ever seen in a game going so far as to copy the fire control systems of russian and American vehicles. Attention to detail is what really makes a game good. Guns having animated elevation adjustment, correct muzzle velocity ranges, the correct elevation adjustment amounts. What that does is open the door for gameplay. DAT ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

    General gun mechanics and handling combined with the insane movement speed makes me take breaks.

    The military make up such an incredibly small percentage of the population yet in dayz military clothing makes up the majority of the clothing

    Agreed simply because I do not view the stances as something that is needed to be taught adjusting ones height to shoot out of windows or any object would be instinctual. However what I think people are against is the asthetic of the stances in Arma 3 and how they are comically mall ninja operator. I would imagine those same people would be all for a simplified stance system that has a civilian aesthetic.

    Give a random guy a rifle and there is no way he would go into urban prone or would his body language ever remotely look like that in arma 3. The body language in arma 3 is almost comical its like they studied hundreds of hours of youtube videos of mall ninjas shooting at paper targets.

    Hence why people suggested different civilian stances. Just have different stances that look like civilian stances at different heights, eliminate some of the tacticool ones like urban prone and problem solved.

    If anything weapon resting a bipod deployment allows for other mechanics in game like sway and fatigue to be more harsh.

    They don't have running plumbing man. The map has mostly dirt roads. The map heavily suggests it is impoverished and it absolutely does not suggest Moscow or any heavily developed Russian city. Everything in the map seems to suggest the most common transportation would be a donkey and not an automobile.

    Player run speed, turn speed

    The turn speed is kind of jarring at the moment it makes the game feel like a twitch shooter and this is even when accounting for the inertia of the weapons. I am one of those that actually prefers the feel of arma 2 , Arma 3 and now dayz feel far far removed from a sim and feel more like an arena shooter. Hopefully there is a major pass in regards to movement one that as a result will end up with players in game better mimicking what is done in real life. This means very little sprinting, some jogging and a whole lot of walking as a means of transportation.

    They do now. In fact hunting scopes have begun to adopt standard ranging reticles such as the mil dot due to the bonuses it provides when hunting. In the last 10-20 years the civilian firearm industry has begun to imitate the military and thus thus we have an era where finding a duplex reticle hunting scope is actually out of the ordinary.

    They are all the same in regards to zeroing. There is no distinction atm in the scope market between civilian glass and military glass. Any civilian can buy any of the scopes that any military uses , the tactical scopes are usually just more durable and have more internal elevation adjustment range compared to say a cheapo 300 dollar hunting scope.

    Maybe cause there is really no body armor in game yet thankfully. Afaik theres only soft body armor so rifle rounds should penetrate it like butter.

    I just hope they stick to reality with it. No instant log cabins or epoch style building. Camps and walled off towns would be good .

    Part of the problem is everyone calls it zeroing when its not zeroing. Elevation Adjustments. Zeroing is the act of making sure your sights are hitting where you want them at whatever range you desire as a baseline.

  24. The .22lr just like all the rounds atm such as the shotgun requiring multiple shots and the mosin doing the same I have always attributed to an unfinished injury and terminal ballistics in the game. I am sure soon when both are added even a single .22lr could prove deadly .

    rethinking the ak family

    I have a simple idea on how to revamp the ak pattern rifles in a way that creates a hierarchy and better gameplay as a result. 1. Akm : remove all accessories and attachments from the weapon. Add to the description that it does not have a side mount. This change would render the akm a low tier eastern military rifle with no modularity . Rarity : uncommon military 2. Ak 74 : remove magnified optics such as the pso. Stocks and hand guards all attach Railed hand guards allow the attachment of non magnified optics such as red dot sights. Rarity : rare military 3.aks 74u : keep as it is currently. However allow only this ak pattern weapon to accept silencers. Incorporate into the loot tables in two variants. Bare aks 74u : rare military. Silenced aks 74u : ultra rare military. 4. Ak 101 : description changed turned into ak 74m . All ak family attachments function. Has a side rail for optics. Rarity: ultra rare military With these simple changes a hierarchy will be established with the ak pattern rifles and each weapon Will have a role . More importantly these changes will help with differentiating each weapon system and as of now all of the ak pattern rifles feel and look the same due to the extreme modularity.
