learn to use the search function.

Hopefully the devs see the light soon and remove TPV too :)
-
well with random spawn locations bambis will struggle to find another player at first and more importantly they will struggle to commit suicide.
-
I hope the ammo they include in the game is Hyper velocity .22lr rounds and not sub sonic ammo. Sub sonic rounds are a mere 1080 fps while super sonic hot .22 lr ammo costs the same yet clocks up at 1700 fps.

You don't understand what the zoom simulates. It does not simulate focus. It simulates resolution. Your computer monitor only renders images at 1080p for example meanwhile your eyes can see resolutions FAR FAR FAR greater than this the problem that is encountered is without the zoom mechanic it is impossible to render long distance objects due to the pixel count.
-
Make it daam near impossible to commit suicide then. Players need to be forced to explore the map if they don't like their spawn tough learn to adapt. coastal spawns are the worst thing in the game aside from TPV.

Mosin replaces it no ?
-
Accuracy is not the problem with sniper rifles its how stupidly easy they are to adjust for elevation. Would fix the problem.
-
Even the most poorly maintained mosin with the crappiest most corroded surplus ammo would still shoot at about 2 moa and far more accurate than the mosin in game.
-
Yea I am not a fan of the new weapon accuracy. They really need to fix it so its more in line with real world values.
-
They should remove fall damage all together during the alpha so people stop committing suicide.
-
Im sure if you mount a 40 moa base on a good 22 lr rifle along with a good set of optics with alot of elevation adjustments you could probably hit much further than 600m. I heard or remember reading that the max range on a 22lr is something like a mile.

Or a large percentage of the community sees how easily tpv is abused to grant players unfair advantages over others.

Best solution each with seperate hives.

Why they need to fix zoom (in conjuction with FOV)
gibonez replied to The_Man's topic in General Discussion
Your problem as everyone's problem with the zoom is that it is not the same for everyone. Countless other games let you adjust the FOV yet when you look down the sights it gives everyone the same magnification. Dayz needs this fixed asap. -
I would . I would need accuracy to get the shot placement right and I would get that with a 22lr rifle and not a 9mm pistol.
-
The zoom is there because it imitates eye resolution and unfortunately computer monitors and video cards cannot yet render anything close to what we can actually see. Third person view is there to let people see over walls and peek around cover it can be removed and people will miss it for a week or so then everyone will continue to play it.
-
Stop with the port begging. If you want to play a game that is on another platform then purchase said platform. Porting to the ps4 or xbox one at this point in time will do nothing but delay the current version and make it far worse.
-
as it stands now its pretty poorly implemented. Probably better off being removed than implemented in its current state. The damage model needs to be alot more detailed before its included in game.
-
It will continue to be beat until the exploit that is 3rd person view is fixed or removed.

Since the Ruger 1022 is almost all but confirmed how about a bolt action more accurate .22lr. I suggest the Ruger American Rimfire The 100% American-made Ruger American Rimfire™ bolt-action rifle builds on the enormous success of the centerfire Ruger American Rifle®. With many of the standard Ruger American Rifle® features, this new line also combines several design innovations from the popular 10/22® rimfire rifle. This combination, along with the rifle's adaptability, appeals to bolt-action enthusiasts - whether young or old, novice or experienced. Reason why this would a good option for a bolt action .22 lr is because it takes the same magazines that the ruger 1022 does.

Lol bad idea. Sucks your internet crapped out on you but thats life.
-
Here is a cool suggestion that would be realistically found in civilian hands. Ruger m77/357 Good way to make the .357 magnum gets a little more use than whats in game currently.

Go venture inland and stop your bitching. Hope respawning loot never makes it in. Explore parts of the map you would not have otherwise.
